🛢 🇺🇸 🇮🇷 CONFIRMED: #Iran’s Navy confirmed the seizure of the American oil tanker, ST NIKOLAS (9524475); formerly known as the SUEZ RAJAN, carrying #Iraqi oil in the Sea of Oman, this morning.
This tanker was #stolen about a year ago, #by the US #government for having transported a million barrels of Iranian #oil in connection to a US company, and Iran retook it.
Iranian Navy's Public Relations announced that the seizure was made based on a court order.
How deadly is the American military?
It is difficult to measure how many enemy #deaths #American armed forces have inflicted. Americans and their allies typically cause 10 to 20 times more combat #casualties than American #forces suffer. Estimates of #Iraqi #soldiers killed in the Gulf War range from 1,500 to 100,000. The lowest figure would still be 10 times the number of Americans killed in the #war. Approximately 850,000 #Vietcong died in the #Vietnam War, 18 times the 47,000 U.S. dead. More than 600,000 North Korean and 1 million Chinese fighters died in the #Korean War, almost 50 times the 33,000 American dead. In World War II, 3,250,000 German and 1,507,000 Japanese soldiers, sailors, and pilots were killed, 16 times the 291,000 American servicemen who were killed.
If you support #Ukraine but did not support the right of the #Iraqi people to fight back against the #American occupation, then you have double standards. Say no to war.

On this day one can't help but think of the looting of the National Museum of Iraq in Baghdad / April 2003.
When the United States invaded Iraq in 2003, the National Museum of Iraq (where the Mask of Warka was stored) was thoroughly looted. The Mask is thought to have been taken between April 10 and 12 of that year, along with forty other pieces, including the Vase of Warka and Bassetki Statue.
This is one of the pieces that was stolen and later recovered.
We are also reminded of the destruction of the Bamiyan Buddhas by the Taliban in Afghanistan / March 2001.
Archaeologist McGuire Gibson of the University of Chicago's Oriental Institute said, "People don't understand that Iraq is more important than Egypt in world heritage. The whole country is an archaeological site."
