Die Information darüber habe ich von David Erler, der vor dreieinhalb Jahren die Petition Hilfen für Freiberufler und Künstler während des "#Corona-Shutdowns" gestartet hat, die ich unterzeichnet habe. Erler schreibt:
Liebe Unterstützer,
dreieinhalb Jahre sind seit meiner Petition zu Beginn der Corona-Krise vergangen. Heute will ich mir erlauben, mich doch noch einmal bei Euch allen zu melden – auch um deutlich zu machen, daß es noch immer Menschen gibt, die für Eure und unsere Anliegen streiten!
Noch immer beschäftigt diejenigen von uns, die die im März 2020 versprochenen unbürokratische Hilfen sogar erhalten haben, deren Rückzahlung. Denn die "Soforthilfe" war so ausgestaltet, dass Solo-Selbstständige mit ihren typischerweise niedrigen laufenden Betriebskosten sie nicht oder nur zu einem ganz kleinen Teil behalten dürfen.
Ich bediene mich nachfolgend einmal einiger Zahlen, die mir vom schon damals wiederholt erwähnten „Verband der Gründer und Selbstständigen Deutschland e.V.“ (VGSD) zugearbeitet wurden:
Die Zahl der Solo-Selbstständigen hat alleine in den beiden Jahren 2020/21 um 325.000 abgenommen. Verantwortlich für den Rückgang sind aber nicht nur am Bedarf vorbei gehende Corona-Hilfen, sondern insgesamt ein mangelndes Verständnis von und für Selbstständige. Gab es 2012 noch 2,46 Millionen Solo-Selbstständige, waren es Ende 2022 nur noch 1,85 Millionen, ein Minus von mehr als 600.000! Die Zahl der Gründungen hat in den letzten 20 Jahren sogar um mehr als 60 % abgenommen.
Die politisch Verantwortlichen scheint das aber nicht wirklich zu stören. Sie sehen – und auch das haben wir damals bei der Petitionsarbeit immer wieder klar angeprangert und leider ebenso klar vermittelt bekommen – Solo-Selbstständige oft als prekär Beschäftigte, die eigentlich lieber angestellt wären. Fatal ist dabei, daß so betrachtet der Rückgang der Gründer- und Selbstständigenzahlen sogar ein Erfolg wäre!
Das Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft (IW) will nun herausfinden, wie die Realität aussieht, um die politische Diskussion zu versachlichen. Es hat die wirtschaftliche und kulturelle Bedeutung von Solo-Selbstständigen nachgewiesen, zum Beispiel um Innovationen in die Gesellschaft zu tragen.
Anmerkung in eigener Sache: Ich habe meine Selbständigkeit, von der ich eh nicht ganzjährig ohne Aufstockung leben konnte, Anfang dieses Jahres beendet, soll heißen, ich habe mich beim Finanzamt abgemeldet. Der Grund ist ein schon länger bestehendes Burnout-Syndrom, das allerdings nicht nur mit Corona zu tun hat.

Trotzdem gibt es viele KollegInnen, die Ihren PC bei Feierabend nicht herunterfahren Für diese hätten wir gerne ein Stück Software, die (per Aufgabenplanung) um x Uhr auf dem Bildschirm aufpoppt und dem User sagt, dass in 30 Minuten sein PC heruntergefahren wird, wenn er nicht den Abbruchbutton anklickt; idealerweise mit einem angezeigten #Countdown. Sitzt er/sie also vor dem PC und arbeitet noch, so klickt er/sie den #Shutdown einfach weg. Ist er/sie aber schon im Feierabend wird der PC nach 30 Minuten zwangsheruntergefahren.
Kennt jemand einen solchen abbrechbaren Shutdown-Countdown (für Windows); idealerweise open source?
Eben habe ich meinen Diaspora Account auf tchncs.de auf gemacht und musste feststellen das diese Diaspora Instanz im Juni heruntergefahren wird.
Jetzt muss ich wohl mal schauen wo ich mit meinem kleinen privaten Account hin gehe. Leider bieten andere Plattformen immer noch nicht das was Diaspora bietet. Und das wo ich dem Argument das die Entwicklung von Diaspora nicht mehr wirklich groß voran geht durchaus zustimmen kann.
