Less than 2 hour to go before the most important match of the WC for me.

US against Iran, 24 years after their last game in Paris, where they lost 2-1 with the amazing last minute goal of Azizi who ran through the field before kicking it into the goal during one of the few counter attacks against the US team that was dominating the game almost all of the 2nd half.

Will this be the same? With Iran missing it's fantastic goal keeper who got injured during the early minutes of the match against UK, and still haven't got the green light from #FIFA to be able to play.

#US has to win, with 2 pints, they need the 3 points in order to move up, #Iran can have a chance to join the 16 if they draw and #Wales draws or loses against #Britain.

I miss watching it with friends and family, it is kind of a bummer watching it alone,

Until the First World War, #Britain was indeed an imperial power. However, then British analytics made a crucial mistake. Then as now, Britain worked to weaken #Russia. Namely, Britain then played a double game. It formally opposed the strengthening of #Germany and its military and economic power. On the other hand, London wanted to use the power of Germany against Russia. British goal was that Germany and #Austria-Hungary have #war with Russia.

Isn't that an interesting approach? What do people in Germany, Uk. and Austria think about that?

Secret documents show UK govt knows Nigerian troops commit atrocities but it continues military aid to secure arms deals and oil supplies.

#British government officials believe there is “chronic corruption” among #Nigeria’s security forces and that many of the #HumanRights accusations against them are “true”. But they want #UK #military assistance to continue as the country represents a “potentially huge market” for arms sales.

That is Whitehall’s view of its key west African counter-terrorism ally, laid bare in a cache of secret UK documents obtained by Declassified. The papers were written last year, just months after Nigerian soldiers massacred 11 protesters in the port city of #Lagos in 2020.

They show #London was fully aware of the regime’s abusive nature but planned to continue offering “high risk” support to its armed forces, judging that “there would likely be minimal reporting from domestic media” in #Britain.

British media bragging about Charles as a man who can improve the image of Britain in "Muslim world", but forget to mention that: #Charles has been a middle-man on £10.3bn of arms sales between #Britain & #SaudiArabia, while those arms were being used to kill #Yemen, pushing millions to the brink of starvation.

His key interactions w/ Muslims have come primarily from his work as an ambassador for #BAESystems.
