If you think why didn't he pull the handbrake, then you've never been in a modern electric car. Everything works via software, including the handbrake. There are no more mechanical controls. Since we all know how badly modern #software is developed and tested, as this example impressively shows, the #question remains why there is no #emergency switch that disconnects the #battery from the #engine?

Inflight Restart without starter power ?

Some channels i watch are a bit of a acquired taste. No need to explain further really. But anyways...

AgentJayZ again kills it with a very interesting video for all tech and physics nerds out there.

Can you restart a turbine, turbojet or turbofan (most likely) engine without any auxiliary power besides onboard batteries and maybe a bit of electricity from the Ram Air Turbine which bigger jets use in case of a emergency?

What does that mean? Imagine, you're in a jet somehow. And not only both engines quit, but you're actually unable to start the APU (Auxillary Power Unit, it's own tiny turbine-generator). So you got no real options left but use the windmilling of your turbine to get it up to speeds where you can inject fuel and actually start it.

Tl;dr: This scenario is _EXTREMELY_ unlikely, just on the grounds that usually no engine quits for no reason.. But if you are there.

Well, it's not good ..... but _might_ just be possible.... Most probably killing the engine along the way. (You will necessarily overheat it in the process and shorten it's lifetime massively. ;))

Again i stumbled over some more or less random youtube channel.

It's THEMAJESTIRIUM1 this time.

He seems to have the habit, to follow #FDNY and other rescue services around in New York City. And yes, he even has footage from way back then in late 2001.

Here, he catched a 5th Alert (aka really big fire) of #FDNY units for a "relatively small" Li-Ion Battery pack catching fire, which eventually burned down the whole building including laundromat and super-market/grocery store.

Yes and i know. Watching weirdo footage of accidents, fires and other disasters shouldn't be a thing. But in this case, he actually seems to have a relationship with the rescuers and firefighters overall. They seem to know him and let him stay on scene as far as he safely can.

And he takes on the task to not only show the flames or injured.. but the whole effort needed to remedy the situation overall..

So good, that he even get's thanks and compliments from fire fighting trainers/instructors in his comments which use his footage in class to teach important lessons.

And yes, he totally does a really great job of showing of the whole shebang ... not just "catasprophic entertainment".

Several days after the outbreak of fighting in Sudan, some people may already be treating the situation as normal. But it isn’t.

The fighting between the Sudanese armed forces (#SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (#RSF) – Sudan’s two main military organisations – that broke out in the capital, Khartoum, on 15 April is unprecedented even given Sudan’s turbulent and violent history. While #Khartoum has not escaped violence in its modern history, including an attack by a rebel group in 2008 and decades of brutal dispersals of protesters, the scale and intensity of the current fighting is previously unknown for the capital. The violence has rapidly spread across Khartoum and to other cities and regions more familiar with the horrors of war, including the restless Darfur region.
