We were notified about a security event at one of our property management vendors that impacted several of its customers including Amazon. The only Amazon information involved was employee work contact information, for example work email addresses, desk phone numbers, and building locations,” Montgomery said.

If not even a company like Amazon can store its data securely, is there any security at all? Amazon doesn't lack money or experts, but it does seem to lack secure software.

Starting next Monday, May 13, the enterprise #hardware slinger plans to make weekly site visit data from its badge #tracking available to #employees through the corporation's human capital #management #software and to give them color-coded ratings that summarize their #status. Those #ratings are:

  1. Blue flag indicates "consistent onsite presence"
  2. Green flag indicates "regular onsite presence"
  3. Yellow flag indicates "some onsite presence"
  4. Red flag indicates "limited onsite presence"

They rate their employees according to attendance and not performance. Can you really be that silly?

She visited Amazon’s on-site first aid clinic, known as AmCare or the Wellness Center, where she says staff told her she had a small sprain and would be fine and gave her an ice pack. “I sat in there for 20 minutes until the ice pack got warm,” Crane says, by which time her shift was ending. When she got in her car to drive to work the next morning, her left hand couldn’t grip the steering wheel. Nonetheless, she says, a clinic staffer told her she needed to get back to work.
