Beyond 4pm. Spring to winter within a couple of hours. Watching snow slowly mix into the thin indecisive rain. Meanwhile, coffee's cooling down too, as calls move on. Moving arms, neck, head a tiny bit, careful to switch off cameras before. The kind of sports to be done while sitting, typing, listening most of the hours. (And feeling the burden of short nights, a bit more than in other days.)
#Cycling in #StormIsha was fun. To work, there was a very strong #Headwind which added about 25% to the time getting there, at least the sky was blue. By the time I’d finished, the #wind had died down to a brisk #Breeze but there was quite heavy #rain. However, I always have my #WaterproofTrousers at this time of year and so I didn’t get wet.

(An wenigen Orten merkt man das späte Jahr so sehr wie im Garten. Alles liegt in dichter nasser Dunkelheit, Regen peitscht durch den kahlen Flieder, über die Beete und Büsche. Erde an den Füßen, Blätter auf klammen Händen. Der kalte weiße Strahl der Taschenlampe lässt den schmalen Weg um die Laube noch unwirklicher, fremder, beunruhigender wirken, als es die Dunkelheit ohnehin schon immer tut. Es bleiben: Sonnenblumenkerne und Nüsse für die Vögel. Krümel der leeren Futterkisten für die Mäuse. Rosenkohl, Wirsing und Salbei. Im Haus duftet es nach Kartoffeln und Sommer, aber vielleicht ist das auch nur Einbildung und Echo der Erinnerungen. Wenn das Tor wieder schließt, schiebt einem der Anblick des Verlassenen eine seltsame Schwermut in die Tasche, die man mit sich trägt, hin in die Tiefe des Stadtabends.)

#Cycling home today was fun. The first bit #storm designated #StormCiaran is here and so the #rain was heavy with a south-easterly #wind gusting to about 50 km/h. Luckily, I'd packed my #waterproof #overtrousers and so I didn't get too wet except around my ankles, wrists and a bit down the back of my neck.
