I found this array of #tomatoes to be interestingly arranged. With fruit at different stages of ripening suspended in a graceful arc.
There seem to be more #hoverflies around right now and here's a close up of one.
Likewise, here's a butterfly.
Finally, here's a #blackbird that was sitting on a wall. I couldn't get too close to it.

A stroll around the back #garden. My spouse is the person responsible for most of this bounty.
The #tomatoes have appreciated the hot conditions of the #summer and are bearing #flowers and #fruit.
#Allium #flowers appear in a variety of #colours and cluster sizes.
#Strawberries have already produced #fruit but are still #flowering too.
Meanwhile, it is too early for the #pumpkin patch to produce #squashes yet but the flowers are also edible. We've had just a few in dishes. You can also see #dill flowers here and as the subject in the subsequent #photograph.
There are a few ornamental flowers too which also help to attract #pollinators.
The #grapes are also ripening on the #vine and we've already enjoyed some of the #VineLeaves for dinner.
The #RunnerBeans continues to #flower even though it has borne #fruit.
The #apples are getting bigger too.
Finally, the #lettuce plants are growing tall and producing seeds for next year.

Here is tonight's #sunset. I was more methodical today than yesterday and used a #tripod to keep the #Sun at the centre of the frame as closely as I could and so the images don't roll as much. It also means that the Sun is stationary and the Earth is moving. I also tried to take #photographs every 20 s or so. This gives a smoother feeling to the #time-lapse #animation.

Yesterday's #sunset was colourful and so I took several #photographs of it. Here are some of them stitched together to form an #animation using #GIMP. Notice the motion of the #clouds. You can also see some flying #birds in some of the frames.
This is part of this year's harvest of #gooseberries. It's surprising how sweet they taste despite appearances. All in all, probably close to about 600 g with more to come, which should last a while.
I finally decided where to hang this piece of #DigitalArt by @Katharsisdrill. I'm glad to support #artists who create #FreeCulture like this.

While the weather is awful in Germany and Belgium, here it feels like #summer with temperatures in the high twenties and #sunshine all day. The #allium #flowers have matured and are now attracting #pollinators. (I can't remember whether these are #onions or #SpringOninons.) Here's a close up of a #Bumblebee which was flower hopping. If you look under its right #wing, you can see another #insect riding on it. I don't know if it's a parasite or whether it just happened to be hitching a ride as I can't see it in other #photographs. My hunch is that it is a parasite.

#Bees are early risers and here is one clambering on a #grapevine at around 6 am. You can see some #dew still present on the #leaves.

These #RunnerBean #plants are currently #blooming and as such as big tourist attraction or theme park for #bumblebees and other #pollinators.
Here are some close up #photographs of our stripy, furry visitors. They only seemed to spend fractions of a second at each flower and so it was difficult to catch them in the act.
For a bit of variety, here's a #ladybird on a leaf, probably on its way hunting for aphids.

The Granny Smith #apples continue to mature and are are currently about 1/3 to 1/2 their full size.
There's a small area for growing #barley and it too is on its way in a few months.
These #BroadBeans are much closer to being #ripe.

#Starlings don't reside in the vicinity of the #garden and so are only seen passing by on occasions. But they do tend to move in groups and so it's common to see several of them at a time.

Over the past few days the #weather has been settled owing to there being a #HighPressure region over us. The #pressure is now dropping and air from other parts of the world will start to rush in and inevitably, different air masses, at varying temperatures and humidities will mix. This sets up perturbations in the #atmosphere and steady #TemperatureGradients get perturbed and so, instead of having #clouds with flat undersides, they start to show undulations (spatial oscillations).
This evening, this is the what part of they #sky is looking like.
Here's a view in a slightly different direction. I think there is a certain grandeur to these beautiful forms.

#Sunset this #evening was colourful. I took these #photographs with a quite small #FocalLengths to give me a wider sweep of the #sky.
This one includes #pink #clouds and the #Moon. The latter is quite hazy owing to the amount of moisture in the intervening atmosphere.
Here, we're looking in the direction that the #Sun has set and you can discern some beams of light emanating from it even though it's below the #horizon. Of course, as were nearly at the #solstice, this is near the most #north-westerly #bearing that it sets at.
