:: 46-053 Inktober 3-5 ::

3 in 1! I'll be sharing my Inktober sketches in compilations like this to avoid spamming the stream. My dA notifications are now filled with people's Inktober submissions and I'm like omggg @_@ (since Inktober is the one time all dormant artists come alive).

Inktober 3: Path (top-left)
Tsumura faces problems with the government's OS.
I cleaned up the paper's lines a bit... and finally used a pen.
PC: "The system cannot find the path specified."
Tsumura: Seriously? (This what'chu get when it ain't my stuff.)

Inktober 4: Dodge (on right)
I was gonna do something OC-related, but stuff came up at work and all I could think of was how my bosses dodge all responsibilities. I should have made the person in there be holding on to something called 'side businesses', but ehh...
The second panel is just me releasing some stress. It's my OC Aaron (the best boss ever), mimicking the famous "Dodge this" scene from The Matrix (1999). Woulda put a label on the gun for it to represent something related, but I decided that these bosses are better off shot with an actual gun. -_-

Inktober 5: Map (bottom-left)
Ofc I draw better in pencil than a chonky ballpen. xD
My OCs! They are soldier boy Thiazi and camp leader Jayden. Thiazi is supposed to be much bigger that that, being of the Aquila race, but I didn't want him to take up too much space in my drawing, lol.
The people of Nexus are still rebuilding their civilisation, and Thiazi is helping Jayden update the world map (authentic bird's eye view!). He may not look it, but Thiazi is happy to contribute (his 'reward' comes in the fact that only he can provide this info).

PEN America Condemns Six-Year Prison Sentence for Iranian Rapper Toomaj Salehi and Calls on Iran to Release Him Immediately

Musician Reportedly Was Severely Tortured and Denied Medical Care Since His Arrest in 2022

(NEW YORK) – #PEN America today called for the immediate release of Iranian dissident and rapper #ToomajSalehi and condemned the “brutal” six-year #prison sentence he received on Monday solely for his protest music and encouraging dissent. Reported to have been tortured severely since his arrest in October 2022 on grounds of causing “corruption on Earth,” Salehi has been transferred out of solitary confinement and into a general ward.
Julie Trebault, director of #PENAmerica’s Artists at Risk Connection, said: “The severe sentence imposed on Salehi is a stark example of the Iranian authorities’ brutal actions. Persecuting musicians solely for their creative and free expression is unacceptable. Although the sentencing has moved him out of solitary confinement, we remain gravely concerned about his safety and well-being. We demand his immediate release and for all charges to be dropped against him. ARC stands firm in its commitment to defending artistic freedom and condemning any form of oppression on artists and cultural workers.”

DEEP CONCERN OVER MULTIPLE ARRESTS OF WRITERS, ARTISTS, MUSICIANS IN IRAN, RELATED TO REPRESSION OF MASS PROTESTS SINCE SEPTEMBER

#PEN America is deeply concerned by reports of multiple arbitrary arrests of writers, creative artists, and former political prisoners in #Iran in recent weeks—including blogger Hossein Ronaghi and poet Atefeh Chaharmahalian—in the widespread repression of protesters supporting women’s rights and free expression, following the death of Mahsa (Jhina) Amini on September 16.

The government’s targeted arrests of #writers, #critics, and #journalists is part of a broad strategy seeking to control publishing, online speech, and the spread and exchange of information within and outside of Iran. Two weeks before the death of #MahsaAmini, Iranian authorities quietly passed three articles of the controversial Internet User Protection Bill, restricting access to and use of the internet even further despite “a high degree of opposition.” While Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube have been banned in Iran for years, access to Instagram and WhatsApp was restricted across all major internet providers on September 21. In the following weeks, Netblocks documented internet disruptions in Zahedan, Sistan, Baluchestan, and Kurdistan Province. Mobile operators have also largely been shut down.

Je vous raconte comment une goutte de café renversée sur un tirage photo m'a permis de me lâcher et de tester des choses que j'avais en tête mais que je n'osais pas essayer pour pas gâcher un beau tirage...
