Pourtant lors de l'attaque du bunker d'Hitler, 12 héros de l'Age d'Or des comics disparaîtront pour revenir dans le monde 63 ans plus tard.

Ses pionniers des Justiciers Fantastiques parviendront-ils à s'intégrer à un monde bien loin de leur rêve de Futur radieux ?

Y a-t-il encore une place pour ces merveilles de la Science ?

Le Reporter Fantôme aura beaucoup à écrire et découvrir pour répondre à ces deux questions.

Ça faisait longtemps qu'une BD ne m'avait emporté et fait vibrer autant. ###

Prenez 12 héros oubliés de l'Âge d'Or, congelez les pendant 60 ans puis réinjectez les dans le monde moderne. À part si vous vous appelez Captain America, il y a toutes les chances que ça ne se passe pas bien. Des drames qui vous ont amené à devenir un super-slip aux drames que vous vivez après un demi-siècle d'absence, tous seront impactés, aucun n'en ressortira indemne, peu resteront vivants.

Car c'est bien le concept qu'ont choisi les deux auteurs. Prendre des héros oubliés, des seconds couteaux et de leur appliquer un traitement réaliste, de tailler dans la masse, de les maltraiter comme sait le faire la vie. La recette est connue et a permis de faire de très bonnes histoires chez DC ou chez quelques indés, mais c'est plus rare chez Marvel et pourtant, une fois de plus, cela fait une histoire mature, aux personnages terriblement attachants, dont les drames touchent au cœur.
