This #song will also be #available on my #upcoming #album "Synthesizer Legends - Volume 1", which is a #collection of cover #tunes of #famous and less well-known #instrumental #synthesizer gems from the eighties. Some of the #songs on the album have been part of my #live repertoire for many years already, while other songs are completely new arrangements. The third single from the album is one of the newer arrangements: Jean Michel Jarre's legendary "Oxygene, pt.4." The music was recorded using only #analog #synthesizers and analog #drum #machines.

For many years my wife and I have wanted to create something dedicated exclusively to the #Yamaha CS1x #synthesizer. Finally, after so much work, we are very happy to present you this mini #series in which the #sounds of the CS1x will be the #protagonists.

Each episode will consist of 5 #famous #music presets that I created and performed on the CS1x.
The visual style and structure of these videos is inspired by early 90s learning video tapes.

The initial logo and the music, is a #tribute to one of the most important distributors of #VHS in those years in the #UnitedStates, the "Simitar Entertainment".

To make these videos useful even for those who just want to learn how to play some pieces of this music from the past with their own #keyboard/ #synth, I filmed the synthesizer from above in order to better understand the keys I press.

In this episode there is a brief description of the CS1x and a #demonstration of 5 presets:

• Airwolf Theme - by Sylvester Levay - (Lead)
• The Terminator - Main Title - by Brad Fiedel - (Lead)
• Don't You Want Me - by The Human League - (Brass Chords)
• Knight Rider Theme - by Stu Phillips and Glen A. Larson - (Lead)
• Jump - by Van Halen - (Lead)

For the first time the videos where I play are live (improvised without a metronome). The sound you hear is pure CS1x, with no external effects.
