En ce qui concerne l’ #arrêt historique de la Cour internationale de justice sur #Gaza-Israël, il est en effet regrettable que presque personne ne lise le #document #original, s’en remettant aux reconstructions simplifiées des #journaux et des parties intéressées.
Le document n’a été lu qu’en termes #minimalistes, déplorant ou appréciant - selon le côté - l’absence d’injonction à #Israël de suspendre sa campagne militaire vicieuse contre les #Palestiniens de #Gaza.
Cet arrêt a toutefois porté un coup dévastateur au #mythe-fondateur d’Israël. Un pays qui se présente comme éternellement persécuté a été accusé par le plus haut organe de #justice mondial de commettre un #génocide présumé contre les Palestiniens de Gaza. Ce sont les victimes, et non les auteurs, du "crime suprême". Un peuple qui est victime d’un génocide est maintenant susceptible de le commettre.
L’arrêt de la Cour remet en cause l’ #impunité dont jouit Israël depuis sa création il y a 75 ans.

I have all my paper correspondence, in- and outgoing on disk and am consider to moving it to paperless.
Now the files are organized in folders and named according to the content, some of the PDFs contain OCR text layers, many don't.
It is about personal documents, I stopped keeping papers about 10 years ago, so I am mostly paper free in my documents.

Jack Teixeira, a 21-year-old member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, was arrested on Thursday.
The leader of a small online gaming chat group where a trove of classified U.S. intelligence documents leaked over the last few months is a 21-year-old member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, according to interviews and documents reviewed by The New York Times.
The National Guardsman, whose name is Jack Teixeira, oversaw a private online group called Thug Shaker Central, where about 20 to 30 people, mostly young men and teenagers, came together over a shared love of guns, racist online memes and video games.
On Thursday afternoon, about a half-dozen F.B.I. agents pushed into a residence in North Dighton, Mass. Attorney General Merrick B. Garland later said in a short statement that Airman Teixeira had been arrested “without incident.”

PageTranslate : #LibreOffice plugin for translating whole documents, which retains some formatting.
We are having problem with US immigration for our kids who are (after 6 years) still questioning the legitimacy of our claim that our kids were adopted legally and lived with us 2 years prior to their move to the US.
We had to translate all our documents to English and provide the originals and translated files to them. The latest request was to give them our taxes for 4 years prior to my wife's move to US. Having them translated would have cost a fortune, so I used the above extension, imported the PDF files from the French tax office into LibreOffice and installed the PageTranslate app.
It translated the files almost perfectly, except for a few minor issues where the text was split between sections and I had to correct the #translation that took about 20-30 minutes per document, it saved me a lot of money and aggravation.
