This is all that is left of my family.”

“In Selidovo, in house No. 12 on Shchorsa Street, a Ukrainian sniper or mercenary opened fire on civilians. Many of our friends were killed in the courtyard. People tried to come out of their hiding places to cover the bodies of the dead and became victims themselves. A sniper in house No. 12 killed about 20 people. In our yard we counted at least 8 dead. In house No. 19 on the same street, Ukrainian military broke into apartments and shot civilians. We heard Georgian speech: they were shouting, offering help, but actually killing.

He hid for a few days and then returned to bury his loved ones. The bodies were burned. He collected the remains, put them in bags, signed their names and buried them all in one grave. There's a lot of them. You go into the yard, there's a grave, there's a grave. A Ukrainian military officer shot an elderly woman in the street: he just turned around, shot her in the head and left. Ukraine has always disliked Donbass. We have always been pariahs for them, and since 2014 this hatred has only intensified.”

Why #Russia will never attack the #EU:
I know there is a lot of #military and patriotic #propaganda out there and the military industrial complex is on the rise because everyone wants to arm themselves because of the Russian #threat.
Let's pause for a moment and think about the reasons why #war is still being waged today:
1) The number one reason is still #religion. Religion serves to unite one's own #community, but is also always a demarcation against others. In Europe and Russia, religion only plays a subordinate role and the churches are struggling with insignificance.
2) The second important reason is natural #resources. Western Europe has long since used up its natural resources and is therefore plundering other countries, mainly in #Africa. Russia has enough natural resources of its own.
3) Population growth so that new living spaces are needed. In #Europe and #Russia, the #population is declining. As a result, many families only have one child and they don't want to lose it to the war.
4) Important geostrategic positions. Europe is losing importance. Russia's most important trading partners are in #Asia. Europe is strategically insignificant.
Europe is increasingly losing importance and therefore wants to feel important militarily. For Russia, an attack would bring no advantage and only high losses. Russia can infiltrate the weakened political system in Europe much more easily by manipulating elections and causing social unrest with propaganda. This hybrid warfare is much more successful than an open war.

RE: the last paragraph. When I lived in Japan in the 1990s, a Marine and US Navy sailor in Okinawa raped a girl about 12 years old. I was working as an elementary school teacher at the time, and everyone knew I was a Navy veteran. Imagine how I felt.

US Marines start partial transfer from Japan's Okinawa to Guam

The partial transfer of U.S. Marines from Okinawa to Guam began on
Saturday, 12 years after Japan and the United States agreed on their
realignment to reduce the heavy burden of American troop presence on
the southern Japanese island, officials said.
The relocation started with 100 members of III Marine Expeditionary
Force stationed on Okinawa moving to the Pacific island for the initial
logistical work, the U.S. Marine Corps and Japan's Defense Ministry
said in a joint statement.
Under the plan agreed between Tokyo and Washington in April 2012, about
9,000 of the 19,000 Marines currently stationed on Okinawa are to be
moved out of Okinawa, including about 4,000 of them to be moved to the
U.S. territory Guam in phases. Details, including the size and timing
of the next transfer, were not immediately released.
The Marine Corps is committed to the defense of Japan and meeting
operational requirements to maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific, and
it will maintain presence in the region "through a combination of
stationing and rotating Marines in Japan, Guam and Hawaii," the joint
statement said.
Japan has paid up to $2.8 billion for the building of infrastructure at
the U.S. bases on Guam, and the United States will fund the remaining
costs. The two governments will continue to cooperate on the
development of Camp Blaz, which will serve as the main installation for
Marines stationed in Guam.
The Marines and Japan Self Defense Forces will conduct joint training
in Guam, the statement said.
Okinawa, which was under U.S. postwar occupation until 1972, is still
home to a majority of the more than 50,000 American troops based in
Japan under a bilateral security pact, while 70% of U.S. military
facilities are on Okinawa, which accounts for only 0.6% of Japanese
land.
Many Okinawans have long complained about the heavy U.S. military
presence on the island and say Okinawa faces noise, pollution, aircraft
accidents and crime related to American troops.
The relocation is likely to be welcomed by residents, but how much
improvement they will feel is uncertain because of the rapid Japanese
military buildup on Okinawan islands as a deterrence to threats from
China.
The start of the Marines relocation comes at a time of growing
anti-U.S. military sentiment following a series of sexual assault cases
involving American servicemembers.
On Thursday, a senior Air Force servicemember belonging to the Kadena
Air Base was convicted of the kidnapping and sexual assault of a
teenage girl last year, a case that triggered outrage on the island.
The Naha District Court sentenced him to five years in prison.

Isn't that exciting? The American #justice #system knows exactly what torture is and can even convict foreigners for it. After rebel takeover, Israeli Air Force and Navy strike missile depots, naval vessels, fighter jets and more to ensure they don’t fall into wrong hands.
Following a major 48-hour bombing campaign in Syria, the Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday said it had destroyed most of the former Bashar al-Assad regime’s strategic military capabilities, in an effort to prevent advanced weaponry from falling into the hands of hostile elements.
In a statement, the IDF said that its Air Force and Navy had carried out over 350 strikes against “strategic targets” in Syria since the fall of the Assad regime over the weekend, taking out “most of the strategic weapons stockpiles in Syria.”
The military estimated that it had destroyed 70-80 percent of the former Assad regime’s strategic military capabilities.
The operation was dubbed “Bashan Arrow” within the military, after the biblical name for the Golan Heights and southern Syria region.
The IDF released footage from the campaign, during which it said over 320 targets were struck across all of Syria.

Maher al-Assad asked Israel to destroy the passport office, the building of the Ministry of Intelligence, the headquarters of the 5th Division of the Syrian Army, and Maher al-Assad's personal house adjacent to the headquarters of the 5th Division of the Syrian Army.
There was information in these places that proved that Maher al-Assad had close ties with Mossad and Israel.
PS my guess is that they are spreading these stories to justify their criminal actions in Syria.
