Meist Nutzer im mittleren bis höheren Management betroffen

Vor einer Woche schrieb uns ein Leser als Kommentar zu unserem Artikel über die "Aneignung von allem durch Wenige", wo es um das Abschöpfen der menschlichen Erfahrung und des Wissens durch wenige große Internetkonzerne ging:

Also, was soll man anders erwarten?

Scheinbar ging es nicht nur um die Gründung, sondern auch um den langfristigen Betrieb und eine gedeihliche Zusammenarbeit - auch wenn Apple in dem verlinkten Artikel jede Zusammenarbeit mit US Geheimdiensten leugnet. Es wurde jedoch in Tausenden iPhones Malware gefunden, darunter auch in denen ausländischer Diplomaten in Moskau. Das russische Security Unternehmen Kaspersky hat den Trojaner namens Triangulation aufgedeckt und hält ihn für sehr professionell gemacht.

Die Nachrichtenagentur Reuters berichtet, dass mit dem Trojaner auch SIM-Karten infiziert waren, die für diplomatische Vertretungen in Russland, darunter NATO-Länder, ehemalige Sowjetrepubliken sowie Israel, Syrien und China registriert waren. Eine solche “extrem komplexe, professionell angelegte Cyberattacke” auf der proprietären und sehr abgeschotteten Software eines iPhone zum Laufen zu bekommen, erfordert internes Wissen über die iPhone Software.

Auch das Entdecken des Trojaners war schwierig, weil - im Gegensatz zu quelloffenen Systemen wie Unix oder Linux - das iPhone ein Betriebssystem besitzt, dass für Außenstehende eine “Black Box” darstellt. Kaspersky räumt in diesem Zusammenhang auch mit der irrigen Vorstellung auf, dass Apples Software wegen der Abgeschlossenheit Sicherheit garantiert. Den Nutzern wird lediglich die Illusion von Sicherheit vermittelt und das Gerät wird damit eigentlich zu einem perfekten Zufluchtsort für Spionageprogramme.

Wie bereits eingangs gesagt: Apple streitet jede Beteiligung an dem Trojaner ab.

On Thursday I accidentally dropped my iPad and shattered the screen. I also cut my finger on the glass.
Gerardo, my Forever Electronics Technician, arrived at my home on Friday. He sat down at my table and expertly removed the shattered glass and installed a new replacement screen.
Such people are worth their weigh in gold. AI (Artificial Intelligence) is fantastic, but it can't do the things that Gerardo did to help me.

Ils croient que le seul souci viendrait de ce qu'ils-elles balanceraient les #photos sur #FB, ... alors que le simple fait de les prendre avec un appareil Google #Android (ou Apple #iPhone) est DÉJÀ en soit une perte TOTALE de #droit sur les photos en question, puisque tu as SIGNÉ que Google peut faire ce qu'il veut de ce que tu lui donnes !!!! Et tu lui donnes bien des photos de toi et des gens, quand tu les prends avec Android (idem #Apple #iPad etc) !!
En plus, ce qui est drôle s'agissant de #Facebook #Meta, c'est que si la personne a installé l' #appli FB sur son tél, elle n'a même pas besoin de les balancer sur FB pour que FB puisse accéder à ses photos !!!! 🙄😆😆😆😆😆

L' #ignorance, face au #totalitarisme DÉJÀ installé, est d'un niveau hallucinant.
Dans le #monde dans lequel on vit, #numérique à fond, C'est comme la différence, dans une #société de l'écrit d'avant le numérique, entre celui qui sait #lire et celui qui ne sait pas lire....

Universal Control is Apple’s most impressive new feature in years – But yes Apple only, and not for MacBook Airs prior to 2018

If you haven’t heard of Universal Control, it basically lets you use your Mac’s keyboard and mouse or trackpad to control your iPad (and the opposite scenario also works). Just nudge your cursor to the side of your Mac’s monitor, and it’ll jump on over to the iPad like it was another monitor hooked up to your Mac. But it’s not a Mac monitor — it’s still an iPad. Just one that you can control with the keyboard and trackpad you were using seconds ago with your Mac.

You’ve been able to use iPads as wired or wireless external Mac monitors for many years through official or third-party means. With Universal Control, though, you’re still using iPad OS on the iPad’s screen — you just don’t have to take your hands off your Mac’s input devices to get there. It’s multitasking between multiple OSes and devices instead of just multiple apps.

So this can work really well and seamlessly between a MacOS device and an iPad, but it does not work for 2016/2018 and older Mac devices, and it also does not work with say Linux, Windows and other computers. So it is ideal if you have that specific use case, for others maybe something like Synergy (or it’s open source fork called Barrier) works far better where you want to share that same mouse and keyboard between macOS, Windows, Linux, and Raspberry Pi computers.

Universal Control’s niche is really about the connecting with an iPad, but that said, it is implemented very well.
