Generation followed generation. They forgot many things; they devised many things. Their tradition of the greater world they came from became mythical in colour and uncertain. In all things save sight they were strong and able, and presently the chance of birth and heredity sent one who had an original mind and who could talk and persuade among them, and then afterwards another.

this is what we're doing. this is the metaphor of our times.
an arrogant fool who would not listen blew it up, and now we have to do what seems not possible, because it is necessary. we need to line up with the system, match the rotation dock, hit the retro thrusters to slow the spin caused by the idiot blowing it up, and pull out of the dive before we burn up.
