Someone flying from the US to Germany soon(ish) and willing to take a rare electronics board in their luggage so the computer museum in Halle (Germany) can fix their Robotron VAX clone and start it up again? https://chaos.social/@dm2lct/112815121973184637

Seriously WTF is wrong with Germany?

I understand that they want to support Israel.
I understand that they stuffer from holocaust guilt.
I understand that they hate Hamas.
I understand they can't back ICC.

But how the fuck can they get so low to protect the war criminal Netanyahu? This is about him. It a case against him. It is case about his war crime,. It is case about him pushing IDF (who is happy to flo)to starve 2 million Palestinians.

It is jus freaking upsetting.

WTAF.

I'm not just an ally but i have my own lgbtqia+ life (and past). As a #sexworker in my youth and such... but that's not the important part here, it's merely the background.

So i was working as a night porter in some random #hotel in #hamburg, #germany. Random hotel as in, random near the #reeperbahn. Yes exactly that one and in right that #district.

I didn't like that job for several reasons .. one of them that i wasn't made for it.. But hell... here we are.

At one night, a relatively unremarkable (female read) guest left.

I didn't recognize her at all, but was happy to receive her key and put it where it belongs as long as a guest is out of house.

I had some few duties to do, like registering lot's of bills from the bar, at least giving out some late beers or cocktails .... and clean up stuff..

The usual thing to do everyday/night and on weekends especially..

Way later, the main entrance door was at least half locked so i needed to hit a button to let 2 strangers in after they rang the bell.. (i told you, reeperbahn, you wanna lock the doors at least a few hours at night;))

First in came a somewhat eccentrically dressed person .. holding someone else, feminine read, on a leash. Clearly commanding - but not rudely - requesting a key.

I was a tiny bit startled ... but i vaguely recognized the person on the leash to be someone i've seen before.

So i didn't hesitate long and handed the key out to strange person holding the leash.

I didn't even think about that moment at all .... the night was long, sitting in midst of a red light district was strange enough .. so the friday night changed to saturday morning..

I finally was done with my shift in the morning and while already some guests where down do get breakfast... i strode into the buffet to grab my own and finally end the "workday".

As i walked along the tables on my way out, one of the (male read) guests saw me .. and gave me a heads up and thanked me for being so understanding.

I SRSLY didn't knew that he was the strange female from the night... And i don't care whatsoever..

But i felt like i didn't do something wrong.... which i like still up to today. ;) (And yes, i hated that job so much, this is srsly the only thing on the whole job i liked. ;)

Germany 'blocking' medical treatment for Palestinian children from Gaza

Around 40 medical facilities agreed to treat children from Gaza in Germany and cover the costs, but reports say the foreign and interior ministries have hindered their efforts.

German aid organisations have accused the government of blocking much-needed medical help for severely wounded children from Gaza, where Israel has killed more than 38,000 people since last October.

Around 40 medical facilities agreed to treat children from Gaza in Germany and cover the costs, but the foreign and interior ministries have hindered their efforts citing alleged security concerns, according to public broadcaster ARD on Friday.

Aid organisations such as the Cologne-based Refugees Foundation, together with other NGOs and the German Society for Plastic Surgery, had committed to medical help for these children for months.

They organised donations for flights, visa applications and the full reimbursement of hospital expenses.

But ultimately the campaign was stopped temporarily because the ministries did not support the entry of one accompanying adult per child.

PS. I don't like sharing links to @TRT and can't trust the truthfulness of their reporting. Tried to find alternative sources, but they are all the same story. Maybe someone from #Germany can verify that.

Terrified by Hamas red triangle, German House votes on banning symbol

"Germany's House of Representatives voted in favor of banning the use of the red inverted triangle used by the al-Qassam Brigades, #Hamas' military wing, in its videos"
"...opposition parties, the #Greens, #Left, and #AfD, did not support the application"

What else are they going to ban in Germany? Res heart? The V sign?

Breathing?

Lüdersdorf: Vermisstes Känguru "Skippy" wieder eingefangen | NDR.de - Nachrichten - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

And we have kangaroos in Germany as well!

The runaway kangaroo "Skippy" has been searched for since the beginning of the year. Now it has reappeared in Lüdersdorf, on the border with Schleswig-Holstein, and has been caught.

The owner of the kangaroo is Jens Kohlhaus from Sternberger Burg near Sternberg (Ludwigslust-Parchim district). He had already tried to recapture the animal several times, but this proved to be difficult. Skippy was last spotted at the end of March between the villages of Sülten and Sagsdorf.
Kangaroo captured 80 kilometers from its home

"Skippy" was captured on Thursday by a man in Lüdersdorf (Northwest Mecklenburg district), the police have now announced. This is close to the border with Schleswig-Holstein and around 80 kilometers from his home enclosure. The kangaroo is now in the man's horse pen and the owner of the runaway has been informed. Whether the kangaroo has already been handed over to its owner and where it has been hanging around for more than six months remains unclear for the time being.

"A pig's head wrapped in the flag of #Palestine with a text "#Ukraine stands with #Israel" was found in #Berlin's oldest mosque.

Police are reportedly investigating.

As of February 2024, there are about 1.1 million Ukrainian #refugees in #Germany. #Zelensky has previously claimed that Israel had an unquestionable right to defend itself from attacks from Palestine."
