report from TASS. It appears that a group of Polish mercenaries killed their Ukrainian enforcers when the Poles refused to take risks and advance further after their initial offensives had been repelled.

Battle erupts between Polish mercenaries, Ukrainian nationalists near Liman — LPR official

Polish mercenaries stationed in the Liman area refused to go into battle after a number of failed attacks and later killed a group of Ukrainian nationalists that had been sent to re-establish order, the Lugansk People’s Republic’s (LPR) interior minister's advisor Vitaly Kiselyov said on Wednesday.

"There was an incident near Liman, where Polish mercenaries refused to tempt fate by trying to advance after several failed attacks," he wrote on Telegram.

According to Kiselyov, a group of Ukrainian nationalists, who were sent to sort the situation out, "failed to build a conversation" and its members were killed. "A massacre between foreigners and Nazis is looming," the official said.
Bumping this with a new video interview with Col. Douglas Macgregor.

At 4:06, Macgregor references the incident, and this is the only other time I've heard this mentioned or reported anywhere. Clearly, the Ukrainians covered it all up, as there's no way they can afford to further antagonize the Poles. The very interesting section is just over a minute long, no more.

AP source: Russian missiles cross into Poland during strike

Shit just got serious! Russian missiles have never missed their target with such failure. IMH it was either intercepted, or spooked.

Is that the surprise Scot Ritter warned about in his talk a few weeks ago?

I surely hope not.

Russian missiles struck a site in #Poland about 15 miles from the Ukrainian border.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied being behind “any strikes on targets near the Ukrainian-Polish border” and said in a statement that photos of purported damage “have nothing to do” with Russian weapons.

A #NATO official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the alliance was looking into reports of a strike in Poland. The U.S. National Security Council said it was also looking into the reports.

Polish government spokesman Piotr Mueller did not immediately confirm the information from the U.S. intelligence official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the situation. But Mueller said top leaders were holding an emergency meeting due to a “crisis situation.”

Polish media reported that two people died Tuesday afternoon after a projectile struck an area where grain was drying in Przewodów, a Polish village near the border with #Ukraine.

Lets change your light bulbs to LEDs, use bikes and cut back on your red meat consumption. I am sure it will compensate for the flights by NATO that can't be included in the nation's total CO2 emission.

BUILD THE WALL : Poland begins building new wall along border with Russia’s Kaliningrad, fearful of Asian and African migrants.

Nothing racist about it. Keep sending EU money to them.
#Poland’s government has authorised the construction of a new barrier along the 210-kilometre border with the Russian exclave of #Kaliningrad.

Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said on Wednesday the frontier needs to be "sealed" so that the country feels secure.

The move comes amid suspicions that Moscow plans to facilitate illegal border crossings by Asian and African migrants.

Blaszczak said the decision came after Russia's aviation authority recently launched flights from the Middle East and North Africa to Kaliningrad.

..., there is another scenario in case if Russia is not defeated, but there is still a need to organise a #revolution there. One of the most effective instruments for such a #coup would be a #military #defeat of #Russia at some remote war theater. If it turns out that it is not possible to achieve such defeat fighting with convential weapons, without the use of nuclear weapons, it turns out that the American theory suggests the possibility of a so-called limited #nuclear-war, when the nuclear weapons … nuclear weapons are used in the territories not directly related to either the territory of Russia, or the US. That is, without risk of a nuclear exchange between our countries, all the way to a general nuclear war. But [instead] fight with tactical nuclear weapons on the territory of some other country. That is, for example, #Ukraine, #Poland, #Germany – nobody in #America cares about a small nuclear war there in order to defeat Russia with the use of nuclear weapons, well, and then it would lead to the overthrow of President #Putin. That’s how #NATO thinks.

Biden fucking things up so bad the cabal will loose it's stranglehold on much of the world.

good. (but keep in mind who really runs things when you start griping about "Americans")

The EU has now become a captive market for Big Oil and is left to buy LNG from the US at the asking price, which is six to seven times higher than the domestic price in the US. (Contracted price for long-term Russian supply for Germany used to be about $280 per 1,000 cubic metres as against the current market price hovering around $2,000.)

India should expect the defeat of the US and NATO, which completes the transition to a multipolar world order. Sadly, Indian elites are yet to purge their ‘unipolar predicament’. Europe, including Britain, is devastated and there is palpable discontent over the US’s ‘transatlantic leadership’. Indo-Pacific strategy is hopelessly adrift. New power centres are emerging in India’s extended neighbourhood, as the OPEC’s rebuff to Washington shows. A profound adjustment is needed in the Indian strategic calculus.

Almost from the very beginning of the ‘special military operation’, observers mentioned the possibility of a split among the Russian elites into supporters of a more aggressive #military engagement and proponents of a more peaceful resolution of the conflict. According to these observers, such an #elite split could at the very least have helped put an end to the hostilities and could have eventually brought down the Russian regime. However, nothing of the sort has happened. Moreover, despite the recent deterioration of the situation on the frontline and the withdrawal of Russian troops from eastern and southern #Ukraine, there is no reason to expect a split among the Russian elites in the foreseeable future.

Great interview by Ania and Scott Ritter. Many questions concerning Poland's possible moves with regards to Ukraine.

This left me with so many questions though. Why would Poland send 5,000 soldiers to fight for Ukraine. And then try to take over some areas (Galicia?) of Ukraine? I'm confused by all of these old conflicts throughout #Europe that keep resurging in some form or other. The #USA role in this war is quite clear: they want to maintain hegemony and economic control worldwide, therefore they must destroy any potential competitor, such as Russia.

But what is unclear to me is why are there people in Europe ready to oblige the USA's intentions of destroying Russia, even though the Soviet threat is long gone. I'm specifically talking about some EU people's apparent hatred against Russia from countries like Ukraine and Poland. This isn't a rhetorical question. Understanding this matter might be part of the key to resolving this conflict. Or maybe it's just the elite leaders of Poland who are insane, like Ania and Scott are saying in the above interview, and not the ordinary citizens. Would especially like to hear from any Polish person who might be following this thread.

Europeans who support #right-wing populist parties have historically been more likely than other Europeans to express a positive view of #Russia and its president, Vladimir #Putin. While that is generally still the case today, favorable opinions of Russia and Putin have declined sharply among Europe’s populists following Russia’s #military invasion of #Ukraine, according to a new Pew Research Center analysis.
The decline in favorable views of Russia and Putin has been especially pronounced among populists in #Italy, which will hold an election on Sept. 25 to determine if the far-right Brothers of Italy party – backed by two other right-wing populist parties, #Lega and #ForzaItalia – will lead the winning coalition. Favorable opinions of Russia have declined by 49 percentage points among supporters of Lega and Forza Italia since 2020 – the biggest decrease of any measured in the Center’s analysis.
Overall, positive ratings of Russia dropped by 15 points or more among supporters of most right-wing populist parties in #Europe between 2020 and 2022. In #France, for example, a majority of National Rally supporters (55%) held a favorable view of Russia in 2020, but just about a fifth (21%) do so now – a drop of 34 points. In #Hungary, which was last surveyed in 2019, and #Germany, supporters of #Fidesz and Alternative for Germany ( #AfD) also have become less positive toward Russia, with favorability dropping 15 points in both countries.

In my view, the intermediate outcomes of this gas #war can already be summed up, and they do not look comforting to the #Kremlin. I believe that #Putin’s attempt to «attack» Europe on the energy front was his second significant mistake this year (Sergei Medvedev put it on a par with the launch of full-scale aggression against #Ukraine on 24 February and the announcement of mobilisation on 21 September 2022, but I would call it a tactical error while the latter two can be seen as strategic mistakes). However, what these miscalculations have in common is that the decisions in all these cases were based on a mythologised view of reality. Moreover, they proved to be very hasty and could not be reconsidered.
