Named after the #Chara #River that runs through the Sakha Republic of #Siberia, #Charoite shimmers with rare splendor. This #gem can only be found in one place in the entire world and it was only recently discovered in the 1940’s. Pieces of this precious purple gem are few and far between and as it was discovered at a unique geological formation known as a Mastiff, the odds are that big deposits of this stone may not be seen again. While it was found by the Chara River, the name may also be a nod to the Russian word for #magic charm, which is exactly what you get when you hold tight to a piece of Charoite.

Ranging from lilac wine to soft pink and darker purple hues, Charoite also boasts shades of quartz and manganese which weave in black and white to the color scheme. It comes from fibrous crystal masses which also helps bring about that swirling color scheme and gives it a textured appearance.

Charoite is a stone of deep transformation and #love. It‘s a soul stone with big bold energy. Charoite is full of emotional healing, spiritual strength, and helps to regulate us in the best of ways. For those who want a gem with high vibrations and the divine touch, Charoite could be it. Healers, sages, and those who work in the psychic realms (either with past lives or angels) all adore Charoite as it helps to create a space for the integration of energy.

If Charoite isn’t rocking your chakras, take a look at our healing guide to essential gemstones and find a stone that sings to you.

Healing Properties
Charoite is here to bring the #light. Splashed with purple potency, this stone is all about positive transformation. For clean slate thinking and welcoming great chance into your life, it's important to let go of negative energy and to practice being present in the here and now. Charoite helps you to cut through the noise, to embrace deep insight, and to live in accordance with your highest sense of authenticity too. A balancer of body, mind, and spirit, here’s how Charoite can bring the violet ray of light into your life.

Physical Healing
Charoite kicks off its #healing powers with the body as it uses those high frequencies to shift sickness and pain into health and prosperity. As a natural stress buster, Charoite is excellent at helping keep your blood pressure in check and can also help improve the health of your pancreas and liver. The serene energy can also be hugely beneficial to those who struggle with Asperger’s or ADHD. This purple talisman also works when it comes to detoxing the body too and can be a useful tool for those trying to cut back on any toxins. Finally, it can also be a savvy pain killer, helping to ease everything from muscle aches to migraines.

Mental & Emotional Healing
When it comes to your emotional wellbeing, Charoite doesn’t skip a beat. This stone calls on courage and gives your self-confidence a boost, reminding you that you can achieve all that you want in life. For those who are dealing with any kind of loss in their life, Charoite will pick you up, dust you off, and invite you to find the internal power to put a different spin on things. It’s a great stone for decision making as it brings clarity and it helps you to make choices based on love rather than being bogged down in fear. Charoite invites you to let go and when we do this, we are less likely to find ourselves locked in frustration but rather finding the sweet surprises that can be stashed in a situation.

Metaphysical Properties
Charoite is big #spiritual #energy. This potent #purple gem can cleanse your higher #chakras – removing blockages from the #heart chakra, the #thirdeye #chakra, and the #crown chakra too.

By cleansing the aura and opening our upper chakras, puts us in the perfect place to receive uplifting positive energies. Even beyond the open-hearted love, the wisdom of the third eye, and the universal connection from the crown, Charoite also helps us to adjust to a higher frequency which can expand our consciousness and even awaken a desire in us to ‘be at service’ to the world at large. Charoite connects us to individuals, dualities, and Mother Gaia.

EU climate service: Earth records 12 straight months of record high temperaturesBy Clyde Hughes, UPI

July 8 (UPI) -- "June 2024 was hotter than any June previously on record, leaving people exposed to life-threatening temperatures and more extreme weather, the European Union's #Copernicus #ClimateChange Service said Monday.

"Copernicus researchers found that temperatures worldwide each month for the past 12 months were 1.5 degrees Celsius greater than the average before the #preindustrial age.

"The report said temperatures in Europe were higher on average than in the southeast regions. It added the countries and regions with the hottest temperatures outside of #Europe were eastern #Canada, the western #UnitedStates, western #Mexico, #Brazil, northern #Siberia, the #MiddleEast, northern #Africa, and western #Antarctica.

"'Even if this specific streak of extremes ends at some point, we are bound to see new records being broken as the climate continues to warm,' said Carlo Buontempo, director of the Copernicus Climate Change Service, according to The Guardian.

"'This is inevitable unless we stop adding greenhouse gases into the atmosphere and the oceans.'

"The report said its review of the oceans, air temperatures were higher than average in the #AtlanticOcean and #IndianOcean along with most of the #PacificOcean. Temperatures were below average in the eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean and smaller regions around the world, like the Bering Sea.

"Copernicus uses measurements from various sources, including airplanes, weather stations, ships and satellites to capture vital climate information worldwide.

"'This is not good news at all,' said Aditi Mukherji, the co-author of the newest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. 'We know that extreme events increase with every increment of global warming and at 1.5 degrees Celsius, we witnessed some of the hottest extremes this year.'"

Is Navalny Dead?

Let's wait to decide.

https://www.hrw.org/news/2024/02/16/russia-navalny-dies-prison

A spokesperson for Navalny has not yet confirmed his death and has said his lawyer is flying to the prison colony. She said she will not comment further until she has more information.

Declaring him dead is a cheap way to make his sentence a life sentence. It's also an excuse for holding him incommunicado. Why not just kill him and pretend it was "natural causes"? Maybe because that causes Navalny himself less suffering. On the other hand, Putin has tried to kill him before now.

One thing I'm pretty sure about: if Navalny is dead, he didn't die of natural causes.

Enormous #Pre-Flood #Mega-Structure Discovered in #Siberia
Universe Inside You

Jan 13, 2024

"The Gornaya Shoria #megaliths, as they came to be known, consisted of immense stone blocks, appearing to be granite, characterized by flat surfaces and right angles. What was even more shocking was the estimated weight of the stone, which was more than 3,000 tons. This would make the Gornaya Shoria megaliths - the largest megalithic stones ever discovered in human history."

#siberia #wolves
I've forgotten how many years ago I wrote this.
Wild Siberian Wolf
I’m in Siberia.
There’s nothing and no one ahead.
There’s nothing and no one behind.
There’s only breathing and my eyes blinking.
I’ll think a thought and feel warm tears on my cold face.
I lie down on the ground and cover my eyes.
I don’t want to see anything.
I only want to take my last breath.
But no. I know it. I know it.
A wild Siberia wolf will arrive. He will lick my cheek,
and howl a howl that can be heard from Siberia to Mongolia.

“Go ahead, I think, rip my throat out."
He’ll lie down beside me and our breathing
will become as one.
I’ll wake up in my bed and the bright Sun will be shining.
I’ll reach out to touch the wolf beside me.
He won’t be there.
I close my eyes and see
I’m in Siberia.
There’s nothing and no one ahead.
There’s nothing and no one behind.

SIBERIAN FIRE
“What are you holding out for?”
They always ask.
“You aren’t getting any younger.”
“You can’t have everything you want.”
“Nobody’s perfect.”
At times I’m sorry I know the difference
between the real thing and a pale imitation.

I’ve never been any good at
Selling out or Settling.
I tell the man who wants me
“I would only make you unhappy
with my unhappiness.
I would feel nothing
when you touched me.
I would feel nothing
when you kissed me.
I would not be thinking of you.
I think of someone else.”
I hardly have to close my eyes
to see him.
He who doesn’t exist ~.
but is ever present before me.

When I close my eyes
I see him better.
Just the sight thrills me
like nothing or anyone else.
I take a deep breath,
and breathe him into myself.
My last breath will be of him.

Oh, life can be cold, lonely
and harsh.
There in the distance
with his back to me~
he is walking alone
out in the middle of
miles and miles of Siberia-
vast and desolate.
He is trying not to drop down
from exhaustion into the deep snow,
fall asleep, and die.
He is trying to stay warm.

The sky above him is
blue and beautiful
The air is clean and fresh.
The Sun shines on him~
The Gods love him.

Oh, he is my Heart’s Desire.
I want to put my hand on his back
hold him and kiss him -
to keep him warm and encouraged -
but I must keep my distance.
I am Siberian Fire - too intense.

#railroads #russia #siberia
The Trans-Siberian Railway, historically known as the Great Siberian Route is a large railway system that connects European Russia to the Russian Far East. Spanning a length of over 9,289 kilometers (5,772 miles), it is the longest railway line in the world. It runs from the city of Moscow in the west to the city of Vladivostok in the east.

  • During the period of the Russian Empire, government ministers—personally appointed by Alexander III and his son Nicholas II—supervised the building of the railway network between 1891 and 1916. Even before its completion, the line attracted travelers who documented their experiences. Since 1916, the Trans-Siberian Railway has directly connected Moscow with Vladivostok. As of 2021, expansion projects remain underway, with connections being built to Russia's neighbors (namely Mongolia, China, and North Korea). Additionally, there have been proposals and talks to expand the network to Tokyo, Japan, with new bridges or tunnels that would connect the mainland railway through the Russian island of Sakhalin and the Japanese island of Hokkaido.
