Remember, Biden is not the acting president. Biden is an errand boy, he is the public face of some group of billionaires - Soros, Zuckerberg, Gates, bozos, whatever. Biden is a drooling moron but that's a feature not a bug: he will reliably do what he is told - as he has for about half a century- and ultimately his senility will be used to deflect the blame for what is really the result of deliberate malice.
IMHO this whole documents thing is a circus, designed to distract us from important things like the third-world invasion of the United States. Like the Trump document thing, or Russiagate, or whatever. This circus will go in circles drawing the oxygen away from discussion of more important issues, and ultimately Biden will not be forced out of office and nothing important will change. And if Biden does leave office, so what? He'll just be replaced by another pliant corporate lickspittle whore like Harris. Biden doesn't matter. He could be dead and stuffed and nailed to the chair in the Oval Office for all that he matters.

Die deutsche Außenministerin Annalena Baerbock ist zur UNO-Überprüfungs-Konferenz des Atomwaffensperrvertrags nach New York aufgebrochen. Dieser Vertrag fordert insbesondere die 191 Unterzeichnerstaaten auf, atomar abzurüsten. Vor der Bundestagswahl hatte Frau Baerbock sich noch selbst für die Beseitigung alles Atomwaffen aus Deutschland ausgesprochen.
Nun könnte sie Nägel mit Köpfen machen und dem Vorschlag von Oscar Arias und Jonathan Granoff folgen, dass die USA als einseitiges Zeichen alle US-Atomwaffen aus Europa und der Türkei zurückziehen sollten.
Telepolis beschreibt die beiden Initiatoren dieses Abrüstungvorschlags so: Oscar Arias ist Friedensnobelpreisträger und war Präsident von Costa Rica von 1986 bis 1990 und von 2006 bis 2010; Jonathan Granoff ist Präsident des globalen Sicherheitsinstituts.
Bei seinen Präsidentschaften hat Arias Rica selbst erfolgreich Abrüstung durchgesetzt, praktisch das Militär abgeschafft und den Bildungsektor massiv ausgebaut.
In den deutschen Medien und auch aus der Bundesregierung ist über den Vorschlag nichts zu hören. Aus den USA wurden dagegen eher verschärftes Wettrüsten angefacht und aktuell sogar absichtlich diplomatisches Porzellan zerschlagen.
Verschärftes Wettrüsten
Während China über etwa 350 Sprengköpfe für Atombomben verfügt, haben die USA 3800 und noch 1750 zur Verschrottung vorgesehene in Reserve.
Während Chinas Nuklearpolitik auf dem erklärten Verzicht auf den Ersteinsatz von Atomwaffen ("no-first-use") beruht, ziehen die USA den frühzeitigen Einsatz taktischer Atomwaffen zumindest ernsthaft in Erwägung (Joint Publication 3-72).
Das Anstreben einer nuklearen Erstschlagsfähigkeit ist jedoch eine sehr gefährliche Taktik - Wer zuerst schießt, stirbt als Zweiter. Schon unter Obama wurde diese Politik salonfähig, aber insbesondere Trump meinte, einen Atomwaffeneinsatz begrenzen und damit letztlich einen Sieg im Atomkrieg erreichen zu können.
Diplomatisches Porzellan
Warum nach 25 Jahren wieder eine Sprecherin des Repräsentantenhauses nach Taiwan reisen muss, weiß niemand. Es scheint in der Biden Administration einen selbstmörderischen Wunsch zum Überschreiten "Roter Linien" zu geben. Erst wurde im Dezember 2021 der russische Vorschlag zur Entmilitarisierung der Ukraine zurückgewiesen und auch die Warnung vom "Feuer" von Präsident Xi vor wenigen Tagen führte nicht zum Nachdenken in Washington.
Eine solche Politik erhöht die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines katastrophalen Krieges, stellt Norman Solomon auf Telepolis dazu fest.

The oldest trick in the book, especially with contemporary US "elites" who are good only at two things: reelecting themselves and #PR. As Bernhard of MoA quotes Cynthia Chung:
In October 2019, Jake Sullivan, who became U.S. National Security Advisor in 2021, stated in an interview that the U.S. needed a clear threat to rally the world and play the role of saviour of mankind and that China could be that organizing principle for U.S. foreign policy. In the 2019 interview, he acknowledges that the problem was that people were not going to believe that China is a global threat, that their view of China is too positive and that the United States would need a “Pearl Harbour moment,” a real focusing event to change their minds, something he calmly stated that “would scare the hell out of the American people.”
