We found that the #PLC code actually contained logic that would lock up the train with bogus error codes after some date, or if the train wasn't running for a given time. One version of the controller actually contained #GPS coordinates to contain the behaviour to third party workshops.

Having had two dry(ish) days in #BannauBrycheiniog, it is not surprising that that the third was wet and not by a little. I usually like using my paper maps and #DeadReckoning to #navigate my way around a new place but I forgot to bring my compass on this occasion and so I had to revert to #GPS (don't tell anyone else) in order to find #SugarLoaf near #Abergavenny. I couldn't see much else but at least our #hike was 12 km and so it was still worth it.
Here I am surrounded by #ferns trying to figure out where I should go in the #rain and #fog.
Gerade #PhoneTrack für #Nextcloud entdeckt, einfache Möglichkeit vom #Handy direkt auf den Homeserver zu loggen wo man gerade ist, dass geht bspw. mit #GPSLogger.
Das ganze kann man dann in Nextcloud in #OSM anschauen.
Ich hab es in 5 Minuten am laufen gehabt und musste nicht groß rumprobieren, werde es mal für paar Stunden anlassen und morgen wenn ich unterwegs bin ebenfalls mal.

China is currently the country with the largest number of Android smartphone users. We use a combination of static and dynamic code analysis techniques to study the data transmitted by the preinstalled system apps on Android smartphones from three of the most popular vendors in China. We find that an alarming number of preinstalled system, vendor and third-party apps are granted dangerous privileges. Through traffic analysis, we find these packages transmit to many third-party domains privacy sensitive information related to the user's device (persistent identifiers), geolocation (GPS coordinates, network-related identifiers), user profile (phone number, app usage) and social relationships (e.g., call history), without consent or even notification. This poses serious deanonymization and tracking risks that extend outside China when the user leaves the country, and calls for a more rigorous enforcement of the recently adopted data privacy legislation.

A while ago I announced to test other GPS apps to Waze and Google Maps, since I don't like Google products, I really don't like Google.

I mostly tested Here we Go, so here is the verdict:
- Live traffic works for highways and state roads.
- I was not sent into any weird streets, mud roads or small streets.
- Knows more than addresses, also knows shops and companies.
- Clear indication for highway exits.
- Some exits do not show all the cities shown on the exit sign.
- Sometimes not the most efficient way.
- A bit of an awkward robotic voice for guidance.
So basically it does the trick, with some small negative point, but I will keep using it.
I didn't really got to testing OSMAnd, first interactions were a bit clumsy, but I want to test it through.
On the other hand I tested Organic Maps and this is the ideal walking app.
- It works in the city and in nature.
- All small walking routes are indicated.
- You can plan a walking trip with different points.
- Clean useful interface and a direction indicator that works.
- Based on Openstreetmaps
- It's FLOSS.
- Can't say I found negative points.
