20 Years of disgusting occupation by #US and NATO trillions of dollars and #Euro spent on military operations and corrupt politicians in Afghanistan, and the country is worse off than it was during the #socialist government of #Taraki or #Najibullah.

#Afghanistan is the shame of the #NATO and western world, 50 years of interventions to destroy a social democratic movement and turn the country into a #Taliban ridden shit hole with mini talibans in charge of those so called "liberated regions".

tl;dr: Capsule separated with the emergency motor, got a nice quick speed/ascent boost into the thickest air which slowed it down rapidly for a more or less regular descent and recovery.... Booster is presumed lost somewhere in the desert, probably tumbling while coming down..

Systemic corruption on this vast scale optimizes failure and collapse.

Debating which nations will "win" as the global economy unravels is a popular but pointless parlor game. Since the status quo in every nation is deeply, profoundly, systemically corrupt, there won't be any "winners," there will only be losers.

Apologists love to say that corruption has always come hand-in-hand with power, and this is superficially true. Once a centralized hierarchy takes power, those seeking self-glorification and wealth seek power as a means to their self-enrichment and glorification.

A glimpse into the future of #humanity. In the end, we will only be left with a completely ruined #infrastructure. But we are complaining at a high level here. A large part of humanity is already on the run and fighting for bare #survival. It is damn cynical that some still distinguish between #war, economic and #climate #refugees.

#Mankind has failed after #WorldWar II to create a peaceful #world where #prosperity is fairly distributed. Even now that the problems of this #failure are obvious, the only reaction is more armament #budget. I already know that more #weapons will not solve our #crisis.
