#Carano had used her online presence to share a post that implied that being a Republican is similar to being Jewish during #Nazi #Germany, ridicule mask-wearing during the worst days of Covid-19 and spread #conspiracy theories over the 2020 #election.

Freedom of speech is a great good and part of the #constitution. But you should think about what you say and consider the #consequences. What the Republicans want is to say absolutely everything without any consequences. But that's not how #communication works. The brain can be used and not every analogy is valid. If #Musk now pays everyone to go to court, the American justice system will probably come to a standstill.

So what is the fediverse?
It’s an interconnected social platform ecosystem based on an open protocol called ActivityPub, which allows you to port your content, data, and follower graph between networks.

The fediverse is as if you took X, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook and made them all interoperable so you could post anything from anywhere, and all your followers would be guaranteed to see it. And if you wanted to leave one platform for another, you could bring all your content, all your followers, all your everything with you. (...)

But all of this stuff only works if there is a standard, and I’d bet $10 that ActivityPub is going to be that standard. It’s the one that’s overseen by the World Wide Web Consortium, it’s the one with the most momentum, it’s the one Threads is supposedly going to support — it’s just kind of clearly winning. (...)

So why would I leave Instagram and Facebook?

I mean, sure. It’s where all my friends are.
That is the single biggest problem for the fediverse. A lot of folks I’ve talked to say that, basically, if we’d built social media like this 20 years ago, the world would be better and smarter and we’d all be richer and better-looking. (Or something.) But we didn’t. We built it on a bunch of closed platforms that turned out to be really sticky, really lucrative for the companies that made them, and frankly kind of user-hostile. But it’s really, really hard to convince people to stop hanging out where their friends are and go join something new just because it’s better. After #ICJ ruling, people are posting from all over the world in support or condemnation of it, but Twitter prevent it from becoming trending even though it has 10s of thousands of tweets per hour.

With all the #twitter bridges broken cause F-i Elon is a fascist, I will probably cease to be posting anything to twitter in a few days, since that would require extra steps. I never cared about twitter for most of its existence and only really started using it when I couldn't in good conscience use meta products as much. Plus the big draw of twitter was the open API that allowed me to mirror or read my feed on the fediverse. That golden age is over and I am almost never on twitter anymore. For my personal posts/shares follow me on anubis2814@friendica.myportal.social. For just pictures, follow me on anubis2814@toot.cat since posting images to friendica is a bit of a pain.

New hotness: AfD zahlt Demo-Teilnehmern 50 Euro Demogeld (die Meldung ist von 2018), weil sonst keiner demonstrieren kommen würde.Mir tun ja die Satiriker leid.Besonders geil ist ja, dass diese AfD-Legende der "Antifa GmbH", die Demogeld auszahlt, und natürlich mit Steuermitteln finanziert wird (weil, äh, natürlich wird sie das!!1!), so groß geworden ist, dass neulich auf Twitter die Antifa GmbH ihre Insolvenz bekanntgab angesichts der völlig überlaufenen Anti-Nazi-Demos. Da konnte selbst der Postillon nur unter größten Mühen noch was verstärken:

"Unsere Fotoabteilung arbeitet ja bereits erfolgreich mit KI, um die Menschenmassen in den Medien viel größer wirken zu lassen, als sie eigentlich sind", so der Antifa-Sprecher. "Dass die Personalabteilung dennoch diesen offenen Castingaufruf im Vorfeld gemacht hat, war rückblickend leider überzogen."

Den fand ich persönlich ja super, den Absatz. Aber der nächste ist auch sehr geil:

Nach der Pleite diskutiert die Ampel-Koalition nun, wie es weitergehen soll. Während sich SPD und Grüne für eine staatliche Nachfolgeorganisation im nächsten Haushaltsjahr einsetzen, wünscht die FDP eine Privatisierung mit mehreren konkurrierenden Antifa-Unternehmen, die eigenständig handeln.

Sehr schön auch, dass die AfD sich schon Gedanken gemacht hat. Was du selbst denkst und tust, das traust du auch den Anderen zu. Die wussten genau: Wenn die Antifa tatsächlich Demogeld zahlen würde, würden ihnen lauter Rechte mit Demogeld-Anträgen die Türen einrennen. Also haben sie selbst vorgebeugt, dass ihnen das nicht passieren kann:

Die ersten 30 Demonstranten erhalten 50 Euro: Die AfD in Rheinland-Pfalz will Teilnehmern einer Demonstration der Partei in Berlin einen Zuschuss zahlen. Insgesamt stünden dafür 1500 Euro zur Verfügung, sagte Parteisprecher Robin Classen in Mainz.

Lol, das Budget reicht für 30 Demonstranten? Das ist ja nicht mal eine Busladung! Also so wird das aber nichts mit "wir sind das Volk", liebe AfD. *schenkelklopf*

Oh, eine Frage habe ich noch an die AfD: Bestreitet ihr diese 1500 Euro aus Steuermitteln via Wahlkampferstattung?
