Palestinian Territory - The ongoing closure of the Rafah land crossing, which connects the #Gaza Strip to #Egypt, has resulted in a dire humanitarian crisis for Palestinian civilians and has accelerated the #genocide that has been taking place since 7 October.

By blocking the Rafah crossing, Israel has tightened its grip and imposed a crippling siege on the Gaza Strip, cutting it off from the outside world and resulting in the deaths of scores of injured and ill people. Additionally, the closure of the crossing has hindered the flow of humanitarian aid and medical supplies, further undermining the efforts of the few remaining local #hospitals.

According to the UN, the number of Palestinian #refugees, who were expelled from Palestinian villages and cities during the #Nakba to Gaza, is approximately 1.4 million out of a total population of over 2 million, constituting two-thirds of the population in the besieged enclave, which has been suffering a new Israeli Nakba for the past seven months.

Rajha Abu Khalifa is one of many refugees in Gaza, who are older than Israel.

The claim that civilians in Gaza can go to safe areas is false

  • Humanitarian organizations no longer have resources such as food and essential items to prepare

  • The time has come to agree on a ceasefire and any further escalation will cause more suffering to civilians.

Disputes are escalating... The response of #Netanyahu's office to #Gantz's words:

"While our fighters are fighting to destroy the Hamas brigades in Rafah, Gantz prefers to give an ultimatum to the prime minister instead of an ultimatum to #Hamas... The conditions that Gantz sets are washed-up words and their meaning is clear: the end of the war. The war, the defeat of Israel, the release of most of our prisoners, the intactness of Hamas and the establishment of the Palestinian state.

As casualties of #IDF in both nothern Israel and all over Gaza is increasing and with significant material losses, Gantz is using the momentum to attack Netanyahu in order to pave the way for his future PM position with support of Biden and many "liberal" European leaders.
