The news was reported about a year ago, but it didn't go into production until recently. The "Ababil-2" is a larger drone with bigger payload and more versatile use fhan the low cost Shahed 134 that's been on the news a lot lately.
On May 17, 2022, Iran inaugurated a drone factory in neighboring #Tajikistan. The factory is officially #Iran’s first drone production facility abroad and will manufacture and export the Ababil-2, a multipurpose drone with reconnaissance, combat, and suicide capabilities. With this factory, Iran intends to reinforce bilateral relations and reduce recent tensions with Tajikistan, address shared security concerns on the Afghan border, boost profits in a growing export market, and complicate Israeli efforts to further sabotage its drone program.
No reliabld information about the source of the engine and electronics used in those drones are available other than some speculations by Israeli and Azeri media.
There are news of #Venezuela, #Nicaragua, #Ethiopia and 2 other countries interested in license manufacture Iranian designed drones, but the information can't be verified.
This is also not including the roumers of Russia manufacturing Shahed drones domestically with the code name #Geran2 that was used by the 100s in the past year to target Ukrainian facilities and to overwhelm their air defense system.

What stands in the way of the wave reaching Europe, and spreading to the Mid-atlantic like normal? The new broken area in Turkey stands in the way.
It should break again, in the next few days going up to 5-7 days tops. The magnitude should be up to 1 full magnitude larger than the previous 6.3 and should strike the border of Syria about 100 miles East of the previous 7's from two weeks ago."

The dictatorship of Azerbaijan sides with Ukraine (what a shocker) and their call for separating Iranian northern provinces is so similar to Russia's claim on the Ukraine regions!
I truly hope things don't get any worse, because a conflict between Iran and Azerbaijan will bring #Turkey, #Armenia, #Tajikistan and #Uzbekistan into the conflict. Not to mention #Chechnia and other regions of southern Russia.

This is the first official announcement by the IRI regime about the sale of it's low cost (less than $20k) #kamikaze #drones.
There are also reports of negotiations between #Tajikistan and Iran's regime to purchase a range of reconnaissance and attack drones from #Iran. No specifics about the negotiations has been made public.
In another news, the head of #IRGC defence industrial group said that some 20 countries have shown interests in purchasing Iranian made drones, but failed to mention the names.
It is sad that the only thing #IRI is exporting is death and destruction!
