Prior to Middleton’s admission, the photo raised some questions. It was certainly possible that it was just a shitty Photoshop used to stitch together several photos so that the best expression on each person’s face was used. (Children are notorious for being difficult to photograph.) But the job is so clumsy, particularly around the hands, that one had to wonder if the intent was to keep us all talking about Middleton’s prolonged absence.

Es sieht so aus, als würde es diesmal mit dem Absprung von #Adobe klappen. #Darktable4 macht eine gute Figur. Sogar das Problem das mit den Roh-Daten aus der Lumix LX5 hat sich auf wundersame Weise nach einer Datenbank-Wartung erledigt.
Das sieht schlecht aus für #Lightroom. Ganz schlecht.
PS habe ich eh kaum noch gebraucht. Und falls sich das mal ändert - da wäre ja noch ein Zweit-Rechner. Hüstel.
Jedenfalls kommen DT und ich im Moment jeden Tag ein bisschen besser miteinander klar.

Ich verzweifel gerade an #Adobe #Acrobat. Ich hab Fotos von mehreren Seiten eines Dokuments gemacht und daraus ein #PDF. Aber die OCR-Texterkennung scheitert nun daran, dass manche Seiten angeblich zu groß sind (obwohl die alle gleich groß sein müssten). Wie bringe ich Acrobat denn bei, dass das alles DIN A4 Seiten sind? Ich hab das PDF schon optimiert und die Dateigröße verringert, daran kann es nicht liegen.

Adobe has started testing a free-to-use version of Photoshop on the web and plans to open the service up to everyone as a way to introduce more users to the app.
The company is now testing the free version in Canada, where users are able to access Photoshop on the web through a free Adobe account. Adobe describes the service as “freemium” and eventually plans to gate off some features that will be exclusive to paying subscribers. Enough tools will be freely available to perform what Adobe considers to be Photoshop’s core functions.
