ONLYOFFICE DocSpace: The Best Open-Source Collaborative Platform for Linux
Yes, there are a few good open-source office suites, but there are fewer that are server based, and actually collaboration based, like ONLYOFFICE DocSpace is (they also have a server version that installs from a Docker image).
Building a secure collaborative environment on a private Linux server definitely sounds like a good idea. Especially if you have to interact with other people and work with them on important documents, some of which might be confidential. In this case, you need a protected workplace with document editing and co-authoring features where you could set right the required access permissions for each collaborator.
ONLYOFFICE DocSpace is a new software tool that became available for local deployment not too long ago. In a nutshell, it’s a web-based collaborative platform designed to allow teams and individual users to manage and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and electronic forms in customizable rooms. They have desktop tools also for Windows, Linux, macOS, iOS and Android.
The platform is equipped with ONLYOFFICE Docs, an online office suite, that provides a complete set of formatting and editing tools for different content, including e-books and PDF files.
Moreover, the integrated office suite offers various features for real-time document collaboration, such as two co-editing modes, document review, version history, chat, comments, and video/audio calls enabled by the Zoom and Jitsi plugins.
And although there are paid hosted versions (that many organisations prefer to use for support purposes), you can also self-host a free community version, or even install on individual desktops for standalone use. Something I like about both ONLYOFFICE and FreeOffice, is that they both start up their apps just about instantly, whereas LibreOffice has a much longer lag to start-up. So it is always worth doing a bit of testing first before deciding on what you want to use.

Guide du militantisme à Lyon
Ce #guide a pour objectif d’aider les personnes qui veulent faire du #militantisme à #Lyon ou autour à savoir ce qui existe comme groupe, projet et réseau. Il vise aussi à faciliter la #collaboration entre divers #groupes.
Sans avoir une ligne éditoriale super rigide, il est plutôt ancré dans des perspectives #féministes #queer #radicale, #anti-raciste/validiste/capitaliste/transphobie etc, #anarchistes, #révolutionnaires etc.
ll fait place à tout projet, groupe, collectif ou réseau militant, dans le sens large de ce terme. Un réseau d’ #entraide ou un projet artistique ou une équipe sportive peuvent tout à fait en faire partie tant qu’il y a une dimension #politique (par exemple c’est par/pour des personnes minorisées).
Les groupes qui y sont listés ne sont pas forcément ouvert à accueillir de nouveaux membres, comme le but est aussi de les visibiliser pour permettre des collaborations, s’entraider entre groupes, ou par exemple qu’un groupe qui est au complet soutienne d’autres personnes qui veulent faire des choses similaires.

The world has about 10 weeks of wheat supplies stored as Russia's invasion of Ukraine enters its fourth month, a food insecurity expert told the UN.
Sara Menker, the CEO of agriculture analytics firm Gro Intelligence, told the UN Security Council that the Russia-Ukraine war was not the cause of a food security crisis but "simply added fuel to a fire that was long burning."
Menker said droughts across the world are contributing to declining wheat resources. Menker said global food supplies are also being impacted by climate change and fertilizer shortages.
"We currently only have 10 weeks of global consumption sitting in inventory around the world. Conditions today are worse than those experienced in 2007 and 2008," she said.
Menker said estimates from official government agencies from across the world show that wheat inventories at 33% of annual consumption, but added that models created by Gro Intelligence show that the figure may actually be closer to 20%, a level not seen since 2007 and 2008.
"It is important to note that the lowest grain inventory levels the world has ever seen are now occurring while access to fertilizers is highly constrained," she said. "And drought in wheat growing regions around the world is the most extreme it's been in over 20 years. Similar inventory concerns also apply to corn and other grains."
