Farm equipment. Farm animals. Farm buildings. Perfectly positioned pretty cinematic shots of all those. This is "The quiet migration".
Carl is an orphan adopted from Korea into a family in rural Denmark. Growing up on the farm, he is constantly faced with a feeling of not belonging, reinforced by racist rhetoric in the small rural community.
An asteroid falls. Or is it something to indicate trouble to come, crisis of identity and past? I think if it was intended to be an asteroid maybe the film makers should have consulted someone on what kind of craters rocks that smash into the Earth leave. Or their likely composition and thus weight. But maybe asteroids don't float around in rooms anyway.
The whole film builds up to Carl needing to make a decision. Will he choose to inherit the family farm in the Danish countryside or possibly explore other possibilities in life. I think it was pretty clear which one he would be choosing, and it makes a good ending to the film. I just hope he talks to the girl.
Slovakian forests sounds like a great setting for a film about witches. And there is a lot of beautiful forest scenery and small village charm. Like wife and kid beating men kind of charm. And enough superstition to burn people alive. Are there any witches though? The answer probably lies in whether there were any witches during the times when they were commonly burned alive, in the darkest times of European history.
This film does the rare thing of keeping you on your toes at all times throughout the film. Waiting for the spells to come out, waiting for the evil men to be turned into toads. Spoiler: this is not a fantasy film. Things get a bit magical at times, but we don't really get told whether it's the witches at play or not. There is beauty and horror going through the whole film, enough to keep one constantly focused on the screen. Not yawning and wondering when the film will end is always a good positive sign of a good production.

— Яро – качественный и опытный вратарь. Потолок зарплат, безусловно, усложняет и ему ситуацию. Командам трудно перемещать игроков, которых они, возможно, захотят обменять, чтобы освободить место в составе.

В минувшем сезоне Татар набрал 48 (20+28) очков в 82 матчах регулярного чемпионата за «Нью-Джерси» при показателе полезности «+41». В 12 матчах прошедшего плей-офф отметился одной заброшенной шайбой при полезности «-7» и 4 минутах штрафа. Его зарплата по прошлому контракту составляла $ 4,5 млн.
Всего за карьеру провёл в НХЛ 783 матча регулярки, в которых набрал 455 (211+244) очков с показателем полезности «+42». В 52 играх плей-офф он отметился 13 (7+6) результативными баллами, полезность «-14».

#COMET AT DAWN: Set your alarm for dawn. There is a bright comet in the morning sky. You probably can't see it with the naked eye, but even relatively short exposures with digital cameras are picking up the starlike head and long tail of Comet Nishimura (C/2023 P1):
"This morning, I was successful in photographing Comet #Nishimura from Zahradne, #Slovakia, where the comet appeared against a slightly cloudy sky," says Petr Horalek. "Its tail is so bright that I could see it easily in my backyard telescope."
Latest estimates of the comet's brightness place it at magnitude +4.5. In a dark sky, this would be visible to the unaided eye, but the morning sky is not dark. Cameras are required to pluck the comet from the twilight of dawn. Many photographers are finding that less than a minute of exposure time is enough for a nice picture. Horalek's photo is a stack of 20 second shots (ISO 800).
The mornings ahead will be more difficult. Comet Nishimura is plunging toward the sun for a close encounter inside the orbit of Mercury on Sept. 17th. Increasing glare will challenge astrophotographers.
"I am truly happy I made it at least once to see this beauty!" says Horalek.

A Ukrainian rocket has reportedly struck near an oil pumping station connected to the Druzhba pipeline in Russia’s Bryansk Region, the operator Transneft claimed on Wednesday.
Speaking to the TASS news agency, Igor Demin, a spokesman for the company, said the shell landed on the territory of the Novozybkovo station in the late hours of January 31. He noted that the attempted attack ultimately failed to cause any casualties or hinder the work of the pipeline.
According to initial reporting by the Mash news agency, the strike was carried out using a Tochka-U rocket. Workers reportedly found a 20-meter crater on the territory of the station, which lost power as a result of the attack.
Demin explained that the Novozybkovo oil pumping station, which was the apparent target, is only temporarily used at peak times on the Druzhba pipeline and was last turned on in 2022 for only a few hours. He noted that Transneft workers are currently repairing the damage caused by the attack and that the pipeline continues to operate normally.
The Druzhba (Friendship) #oil #pipeline is one of the #longest in the #world and connects eastern parts of #Russia to several points in Europe, including Ukraine, #Belarus, #Poland and #Germany.
The segment that was apparently being targeted by Kiev’s forces on Tuesday is located some 39km from the Russian-Ukrainian border and leads directly into Belarus, where it branches off into two sections: one going to Germany and Poland and the other delivering oil to Ukraine, #Hungary, #Slovakia, #Austria and the #CzechRepublic. Germany, however, has not received any oil since the start of the year after Berlin and Poland both pledged to stop all imports of Russian crude.
According to Bryansk Governor Aleksander Bogomaz, Kiev’s forces also launched several artillery strikes against civilian targets across the region on Tuesday. Although no casualties have been reported, Bogomaz said the attack damaged over a dozen residential buildings, a WWII memorial, and a shop. The strikes also cut off power to several villages, he said, later adding that these issues had been promptly resolved by emergency services
