As a new wave of chemical attacks shaking Iran. IRI just sentenced 16 students for participating in protests against the attacks.

The students received punishment of 1 to 2 terms while another 10 of them still waiting for the decision to be made.

یکشنبه ۲۰ فروردین، حداقل ۱۶ نفر از دانشجویان دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تبریز با رای شورای بدوی کمیته انضباطی دانشگاه به اتهام ایجاد/شرکت در بلوا و آشوب، به تعلیق از تحصیل به مدت یک یا دو ترم محکوم شدند. این احکام به علت اعتراض ۱۶ اسفند ۱۴۰۱ دانشجویان علوم پزشکی تبریز به روند مسمومیت گسترده و چند ماهه دانش آموزان صادر شدند!

احکام دانشجویان به شرح زیر می‌باشد:

الف‌) محرومیت از تحصیل به مدت دو نیمسال برای ۶ نفر از دانشجویان علوم پزشکی تبریز

ب) محرومیت از تحصیل به مدت یک نیمسال برای ۱۰ نفر از دانشجویان علوم پزشکی تبریز

ج) احکام ۱۰ نفر از دانشجویان برای رسیدگی به شورای مرکزی انضباطی وزارت بهداشت ارسال شده که امکان صدور احکام بلندمدت تعلیق از تحصیل(سه ترم یا بیشتر) برای این دانشجویان وجود دارد!

IRI is taking the recent "Serial poisoning" incidents as a threat to national security.

According to Shahriar Heidari, the MP, there are going to place a member of security police in every girl school in Iran to find those responsible for the recent attacks all over the country.

The event are getting international attention and spreading in parts of the country that was not seen before.

So far 3 people have been caught by IRI police, one supposedly holding a large canister of pepper spray trying to sneak into a girl primary school.

Even IRI's president #Reisi said in a press conference that the recent attacks have "hands of foreign agents" which is the common term used by the regime when it comes to anything they can not solve.

Hundreds of cases of respiratory distress have been reported in the past three months among schoolgirls mainly in the holy city of Qom, south of Tehran, with some needing hospitalisation.

A government official said on Sunday that the attacks were believed to be a deliberate attempt to force the closure of girls' schools.

"Today (Tuesday) at noon, a number of students were poisoned at the Khayyam Girls' School in the city of Pardis, Tehran province," Tasnim news agency reported.

It said 35 students had been taken to hospital so far, adding to hundreds of cases of reported poisoning since November in at least two other cities including Qom.

The #question now should be what is #knowledge and how do we reform the #education #system so that it can still impart real knowledge despite modern technology? However, I don't see that happening because the only #solution is for teachers to work harder and #test individually. Standard tests that can be evaluated automatically are already used to test how well students can #cheat.

Young, strong and fearless!

These are the second generation post revolution, they have not seen anything other than oppression, broken promises and betrayal.

They had enough, they saw a chance to raise their voice and stand up against the 2 symbols of the tyranny.

They may silence them during this movement, but their anger will be redirected toward an even stronger and more fearless movement in the coming years.

The regime has a chance, to listen to these voices and reform, to let them have their limited freedom and not make the same mistake Shah did in 1977-78. But sadly, the pea brain of these Iranian Taliban, does not allow them to see anything other than their "righteous" way of murder and torture until the country get into a point that it explodes and then it will be the most vicious groups and leaders who will have the control over the outcome of the events.

As some of you may know, Japan still has entry restrictions for foreigners and also has halted issuing of (long term) visa. This makes it really bad for students and researchers. They have no chance to experience the country firsthand.
The student council of the university of Heidelberg for Asian studies imitated an open letter to the Japanese ambassador in Germany on the Resumption of Visa.
