Israel’s Gilad Erdan, who fancies himself as a future leader of the ruling Likud Party has called for the destruction of the United Nations building in New York, after going on various tirades against a number of organs of the United Nations and their criticism of Israeli war crimes in the #Gaza Strip.
"This building, which may look nice from the outside, is actually twisted and distorted,” said Erdan, whose successor, Danny Ben Yosef Danon, just took over on Monday.
On his future plans, Erdan said he sees himself leading the right-wing Likud Party after controversial Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

FTA: Don’t get so distracted by the promise and threats associated with the future of AI. It is not magic, it’s not fully automated and — per Whittaker — it’s already intrusive beyond anything that most Americans seemingly comprehend.
The AI isn't as intelligent as you think. In addition to massive amounts of training (it would take a human 5,000+ years of uninterrupted reading -- over 10,000 years of reading if they were allowed to eat, sleep, and have a life -- to read everything on which GPT has been trained) these systems require a tremendous amount of hand-holding during training:

Hinton, who 11 years ago collaborated with a pair of graduate assistants at the University of Toronto to make the tech that underlies many AI systems today, tells the Times he's quit a position he held at Google in order to speak out about the growing AI threat. Hinton says he regrets what he's done. "I console myself with the normal excuse: If I hadn't done it, somebody else would have."
