This is an outstanding #documentary from #TruthstreamMedia produced in 2019 which looks at the #spiritual, #psychological and #thought #doctrine behind the Extinction Rebellion #cult which is now matching actual policy implementation being rolled out globally by politicians in an attempt to address “climate change”. There is a large element of occult ritual, as well as flawed “science” such as the claim that humans are causing it all, while the major pollutant role of the mega corporations are completely ignored.

Surprising discovery shows a slowing of continental plate movement controlled the timing of Earth's largest volcanic events

Earth's history has been marked by major volcanic events, called Large Igneous Provinces (LIPs) -- the largest of which have caused major increases in atmospheric carbon emissions that warmed Earth's climate, drove unprecedented changes to ecosystems, and resulted in mass extinctions on land and in the oceans.

Blood Scales

The head of operations and investigations at the Last Great Ape Organization (LAGA) hunts a ring of wildlife traffickers in possession of 550 pounds of pangolin scales as he recalls the events in his life that led him down this path. Meanwhile, a newly rescued tree pangolin fights to regain strength and freedom thanks to the professional care provided by the Tikki Hywood Foundation Cameroon. Pangolins are the world’s most illegally trafficked mammal.

Tragic & a portent, unless we (again) become mindful about environment and both human & nonhuman nature. The European starlings are those little guys scampering all over NYC & area in parks & on streets alongside pigeons. Seems -pardon the metaphor - like a canary in a coal mine., as are the coral in the sea.

Check out this short summary on the state of #birds which were abundant until recently.

There are 600 million fewer birds in Europe than 40 years ago.

In the new season 3 of "Love, Death & Robots", episode one gives us the most realistic #future #dystopia for #humanity at the moment.

In the episode we accompany 3 robots that are on a pleasure trip to learn more about humans. The humans wiped themselves out several years ago. We already know the 3 robots from season 1 episode 2.

Preppers have built camps in the wilderness with 'lots of guns and ammo. First they exterminated all the wild animals and then slaughtered each other.

enter image description here

Tech millionaires have converted former drilling rigs into homes. They wanted to live by fishing. However, the seas were overfished and polluted, so they starved to death on their artificial islands.

enter image description here

The #government took refuge in underground bunkers.

enter image description here

In the bunker, the artificial production of #food bogged down after a while, so they switched to #cannibalism.

enter image description here

This is the #spaceport from where the billionaires left for #Mars.

enter image description here

Those who could not afford a ticket were dealt with by the #defence #system.

The robots conclude that humanity has acted illogically. With all the money that they have put into actions to allow only a small group to #survive, they could have saved the whole #planet.

Extinction obituary: why experts weep for the quiet and beautiful Hawaiian po’ouli
Frantic conservation efforts couldn’t save the tiny, intricately colored songbird, whose obit is the first in our new series of memorials for species that have gone extinct in living memory

The last po’ouli died in an unusual nest. Too weak to perch, the brownish-greyish songbird rested in a small towel twisted into a ring. He was the last of his species, the last in fact of an entire group of finches, and occurred nowhere on Earth outside its native Hawaii. For weeks, as scientists tried to find him a mate, he had been getting sicker. The only remaining po’ouli had just one eye. Alone in the towel, alone in all the world, he closed it.

From Drought to Deluge on a New Planet

Tom Dispatch

Consider this perhaps the strangest thing of all in our all-too-strange world: the greatest crisis humanity has ever faced essentially never leads the news. Yes, the immediate crises of our world, most recently Vladimir Putin’s disastrous invasion of Ukraine, are 24/7 headlines for weeks at a time. And any set of events that sends millions of us into external or internal exile, as has become all too common on this planet of ours, should indeed be a focus of attention. But to put all of this in context, it’s estimated that within three decades up to a mind-boggling 1.2 billion human beings could be driven from their homes thanks to the burgeoning climate emergency. (...)

When [climate change] hits as fire or flood, as a dramatic weather disaster of some sort, the news often loves to show us the calamity at hand (and the all-too-photogenic weeping survivors). But the cause of it all, climate change itself? No such luck. (...)

Only recently the authoritative U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change released its latest devastating report, produced by 1,000 scientists, on what we’re doing to ourselves. In the midst of the Ukrainian events, it got hardly a moment’s notice. (...)

Whiplashed

Those Who Contribute the Least to Climate Change Suffer the Most

By Jane Braxton Little

(...) While California may be a poster child for extreme weather events, they are occurring almost everywhere. Such wild swings from tinder-dry to inundation are known as climate or weather whiplash. (...)

When it comes to weather whiplash, Australia is exhibit A for Anthropocene, the current geological epoch dominated by the human impact on the environment. (...)

Conflicts between wildlife and humans are already common enough, but climate scientists expect them to increase as droughts, floods, and fires push animals off their normal ranges and into agricultural areas. (...)

And here’s the only good news: climate change is a problem with a solution. We humans created it, which means it’s solvable. That, however, would require societal and political will of a kind we simply haven’t seen yet. And that’s the bad news. (...)

“a damning indictment of failed climate leadership… that reveals how people and the planet are getting clobbered by climate change.”

Swain, the UCLA climate scientist, put it this way: “We’re on a train going faster and faster down the tracks with perfectly functional brakes. But the drivers, for whatever reasons, are choosing not to engage the brakes.” (...)
