This is the second highest result in world history. Only World War II resulted in more refugees.

The report is based on data from 2001 to 2020 + some data collected in 2021.
It is based on the UN data, U.S. documents and information from public sources.
However, the report itself states that 38,000,000 is a very conservative estimate and in reality, the figure can reach from 49,000,000 to 60,000,000, which actually reaches the figures of World War II.

An 11-year veteran of the U.S. State Department has resigned his position over President Joe Biden's handling of the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Josh Paul, since 2012, served as the Director of Congressional & Public Affairs for the department's Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, his LinkedIn profile states. He announced his resignation via that platform on Wednesday.
Speaking to the Huffington Post, Paul cited his frustrations with the Department's unwillingness to depart from its position on the conflict. The administration has decidedly sided with Israel and Biden visited that country on Wednesday in a show of solidarity.
"I have had my fair share of debates and discussions and efforts to shift policy on controversial arms sales," Paul told the outlet. "It was clear that there's no arguing with this one. Given that I couldn't shift anything, I resigned."

Gen. Michael A. Minihan has ordered the 110,000 troops under his command to prepare for war with China possibly two years from now.
Minihan’s combustible rhetoric, including a directive for personnel to sharpen their marksmanship skills and “aim for the head,” is red meat for the China hawks in Congress who fear the United States is woefully underprepared should a conflict erupt in that part of the world. It has disturbed some in the Pentagon, however, as the general’s assertiveness has felt startlingly at odds with the Biden administration’s carefully calibrated attempt to reset relations with Beijing. Senior officials nonetheless have stuck by him — and he has pressed forward with an ambitious plan to “explode” into the Pacific in the event of a war.
At his headquarters in Illinois, Minihan said he “wasn’t being cutesy” with his bellicose memo but stressed that it was meant for an internal Air Force audience, not public consumption.
“There can be no ambiguity on what my expectations are,” Minihan said. “I’m not trying to be somebody that I’m not, nor am I trying to use theater or a pedestal. I’m simply trying to make sure that my command is ready to win if called upon.”

The #Israeli and #American air forces on Sunday launched a joint drill, the latest in a series of exercises apparently aimed at readying the Israel Defense Forces for a potential strike in #Iran.
In a statement Monday, the #IDF said the drill, dubbed Juniper Oak, would include the Israeli #AirForce carrying out #airstrikes against “strategic targets in the depth,” an apparent reference to Iran’s nuclear facilities.
Additionally, the air drills would simulate “achieving aerial superiority in the region and cyber defense against a variety of threats,” the IDF said.
During the drill, #IAF fighter jets were to refuel from an American Boeing KC-46, of which Israel has ordered four and is expected to receive the first in 2025.
