Und doch bleibt der menschliche Faktor: Wenn man sich vertippt und "Bernd" statt 50 Euro versehentlich 500 Euro überweist, hat er das Geld rechtssicher in wenigen Sekunden auf seinem Konto.

Ja Scheiße, Bernd!1!! "rechtssicher" ist das dann!!1! Ja gut, dann kann man da natürlich nichts machen, wenn das rechtssicher ist. Ich bin ja kein Anwalt, aber ich hätte das für einen klaren Fall von § 812 BGB gehalten.

[l] Hurra! Die Crypto-Wars sind wieder da! Frankreich lässt sich den Encrochat-Typen aus der Dominikanischen Republik ausliefern. Begründung:

Bereitstellung oder Weitergabe eines kryptologischen Geräts ohne weitere Kontrolle

Krass. Bei Ausgrabungen in Frankreich sind offensichtlich ein paar längst abgeschafft geglaubte Terrorgesetze aus der Zeit mit den Guillotinen wieder gefunden worden!

As a result of the wars unleashed by the U.S. after September 11, 2001, 38,000,000 civilians were displaced.

This is the second highest result in world history. Only World War II resulted in more refugees.

Direct military aggressions, the so-called "war on terror" which led to the creation of ISIS, and economic strangulation have all led to disastrous consequences for the people of a number of states in the Middle East and North Africa, forcing ordinary people to flee their homes, cities, villages and states to other countries.

According to a report https://t.co/MLXyekTZTQ by the Watson Institute for International Studies (an interdisciplinary research center at Brown University, Rhode Island, USA) and with the assistance of Boston University:

  2. #Pakistan - 3.7 million refugees
  3. #Yemen - 4.6 million refugees
  4. #Somalia - 4.3 million refugees
  5. #Philippines - 1.8 million refugees
  6. #Libya - 1.2 million refugees
  7. #Syria - 7.1 million refugees

The report is based on data from 2001 to 2020 + some data collected in 2021.

It is based on the UN data, U.S. documents and information from public sources.

However, the report itself states that 38,000,000 is a very conservative estimate and in reality, the figure can reach from 49,000,000 to 60,000,000, which actually reaches the figures of World War II.

To these processes can be added the huge number of refugees from #Ukraine after the U.S.-backed coup d'état and civil war that broke out there.

Eigenlijk is dat curieus. Europa telt 29 Navo-landen, zij bestrijken een gebied dat zich uitstrekt van de Noordkaap tot de Zwarte zee, hun defensie-uitgaven zijn bij elkaar opgeteld de op één na hoogste ter wereld, de Fransen en Britten hebben kernwapens. (...)

Bang dat de Russen heel Europa overlopen, is [Dick Zandee, militair expert van Clingendael] niet. We moeten het denken loslaten dat er ineens een Rus in je keuken staat. ‘Anders dan in de Koude Oorlog, toen ze een paar honderd kilometer hiervandaan aan de grens tussen de twee Duitslanden stonden, bevinden zij zich nu geografisch ver weg van West-Europa. Ik zie ze echt niet in staat op te rukken naar de Noordzee.’

Maar, maar, maar… rustig slapen is er toch niet bij. Rusland kan zich concentreren op een beperkt gebied, Centraal-Europa, de Baltische staten. Een bezetting alleen al van de Estlandse stad Narva, die aan Rusland grenst en waar 90 procent van de inwoners Russisch-talig is, zou Europa voor het blok zetten. Krachtens de belofte dat het elke millimeter van het Navo-grondgebied zal verdedigen, moet het proberen het gebied te heroveren.

Zandee betwijfelt of Europa zonder Amerikanen daarvoor voldoende offensieve slagkracht heeft. Bovendien kan Poetin raketaanvallen uitvoeren op een aanvoerhaven als Rotterdam. (...) Ook kan Poetin dreigen met kernwapens. Het zal de Europeanen voor gruwelijke dilemma’s plaatsen. Willen we vechten, lijden en sterven voor de Balten? (...)

Het beste is dat Europa nooit in zo’n situatie terechtkomt door te werken aan een effectieve afschrikking. (...)

Cruciaal is dat de nucleaire afschrikking ook zonder Amerikanen intact blijft. (...)

Poland reiterates support for 20-billion-euro Ukraine military aid fund

Poland supports a proposal for EU member states to create a fund to provide Ukraine with 20 billion euros ($21.5 billion) in military aid in the next four years, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski told reporters in Brussels on Feb. 3.

EU foreign ministers are still discussing establishing a dedicated fund for Ukraine within the European Peace Facility, used to reimburse member states' expenses on military aid to other countries.

"There was an agreement on the civilian side, 50 billion euros - very good news. But we still have to decide how to implement our military support, both bilaterally and through the European Peace Facility," Borrell said ahead of an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers on Feb. 3.
