Those were the days when Sergiy Sternenko, leader of the ‘Right Sector’ in Odessa, could beat up anti-fascist demonstrators in the trade union centre and then have it set on fire. Or shoot ‘pro-Russian’ authors like Oles Busina in the street without anything happening to him. All trials were quashed by Ukraine's post-‘Maidan’ judiciary.

National Endowment for Democracy Deletes Records of Funding Projects in Ukraine
The NED played a pivotal role in helping to trigger the conflict with Russia by supporting two color revolutions directed against Ukraine’s pro-Russian (not really - note mine) leader Viktor #Yanukovych — a potential successor to Vlodymyr #Zelensky if Russia wins.
The 2004 color revolution replaced Yanukovych with Viktor Yushchenko, who favored admitting Ukraine to NATO and adopted an International Monetary Fund (IMF) structural adjustment program that benefitted U.S. investors while cutting social programs.
NED activists employed a broad public relations strategy that included: a) busing paid out-of-town protesters into Kyiv; b) creating an online TV protest station and agitation paraphernalia; and c) providing offshore training to the anti-Yanukovych student leadership. The strategy was based on the writings of Gene Sharp and a template that the NED had successfully employed in Serbia with a youth group called “Otpor,” which helped secure the defeat of socialist Slobodan Milosovic in September 2000 elections.

As a sign of the NED’s influence, Ukrainian President Petro #Poroshenko (2014-2020)—a main beneficiary of the #Maidan coup currently awaiting trial on treason charges—bestowed the Order of Princess Olga, one of Ukraine’s highest honors, on Dr. Nadia Diuk,[42] a former vice president and senior adviser to the NED for Europe and Eurasia.

UN urges Georgia to withdraw 'foreign influence' bill
The controversial bill has attracted wide criticism and led to daily protests in the capital, Tbilisi. The EU said the move could hurt Georgia's prospects of one day joining the 27-member bloc.
the United Nations, European Union and United States have condemned Georgia's attempt to pass a "foreign influence" law that critics say would muzzle independent media and rights groups.
"I urge Georgian authorities to withdraw this draft law, and to engage in dialogue, including with civil society and media organizations," UN rights chief Volker Türk said on Thursday.
"Labeling NGOs and media outlets receiving foreign funding as 'organizations acting in the interest of a foreign power' poses serious threats to the rights to freedom of expression and association."
A spokesperson for France's Foreign Ministry said the bill "runs counter to the values on which the European Union is founded and to which the Georgian people have shown their deep attachment."

NYT Confirms Putin’s Accusations
#Zerohedge summarizes the genuinely shocking expose by The #NewYorkTimes concerning 12 #secret #US #military #basis inside #Ukraine near the Russian border that have been there since 2016:
On Sunday T_he New York Times_ published an explosive and very belated full #admission that US #intelligence has not only been instrumental in Ukraine wartime decision-making, but has established and financed high tech command-and-control spy centers, and was doing so long prior to the Feb. 24 Russian invasion of two years ago.
Among the biggest revelations is that the program was established a decade ago and spans three different American presidents. The Times says the #CIA program to modernize Ukraine’s intelligence services has “transformed” the former Soviet state and its capabilities into “Washington’s most important intelligence partners against the #Kremlin today.”
This has included the agency having secretly trained and equipped Ukrainian intelligence officers spanning back to just after the #2014 #Maidan #coup events, as well constructing a network of 12 secret bases along the Russian border—work which began eight years ago. These intelligence bases, from which Russian commanders’ communications can be swept up and Russian spy satellites monitored, are being used launch and track cross-border drone and missile attacks on Russian territory.
This means that with the disclosure of the longtime “closely guarded secret” the world just got a big step closer to #WW3, given it means the CIA is largely responsible for the effectiveness of the recent spate of attacks which have included direct drone hits on key oil refineries and energy infrastructure.
“Without them [the CIA and elite commandoes it’s trained], there would have been no way for us to resist the Russians, or to beat them,” according to Ivan Bakanov, former #head of the #SBU, which is Ukraine’s domestic intelligence agency.
A main source of the #NYT revelations—disclosures which might come as no surprise to those never willing to so easily swallow the mainstream ‘official’ narrative of events—is identified as a top intelligence commander named Gen. Serhii Dvoretskiy.
Clearly, #Kiev and #Washington now want #world to know of the deep intelligence relationship they tried to conceal for over the past decade. It is perhaps a kind of warning to #Moscow at a moment Ukraine’s forces are in retreat: the US is fighting hand in glove with the Ukrainians. And yet the revelations contained in the NY Times report also confirm what #President #Putin has precisely accused Washington of all along.
The Russians obviously know about these bases since they presumably have had control of them for most of the last two years. So, why is Washington suddenly admitting to them now? Are the neoclowns attempting to establish some basis for arguing that since the #USA has been actively waging #war on #Russia for a long time, more aid and even direct military support for Ukraine is justified?
At some point, the anti-Russian Narrative is going to collapse, as one lie after another is exposed, and it eventually turns out that the Russians were doing nothing but telling the truth about The Empire of Lies and its activities in Ukraine all along.
It also documents how the CIA not only kept #PresidentTrump in the dark with regards to its anti-Russian activities, but consistently undermined him and his policies.

"Self-proclaimed experts & info warriors resort to primitive fraud & whitewashing of far-right & mass murderers even after text of Maidan massacre trial verdict in Ukraine confirms my studies findings that many Maidan activists & BBC & ARD TV journalists were shot by snipers in Maidan-controlled Hotel Ukraina & other Maidan-controlled locations. Verdict specifically states that this hotel was controlled by "Maidan activists," that armed Maidan group led by far-right-linked MP entered & shot from hotel & that at least 6 Maidan protesters were killed & many wounded by snipers in this hotel & other Maidan-activists-controlled locations.

Decline and end of the movement
Although the occupation and the subsequent movement ignited the imagination of the masses, the overall political leadership of the movement remained in the hands of a small group of student leaders and NGOs that initiated the occupation. This wasn’t because these figures had prior authority among board layers of the masses. In fact, this hastily launched action and the subsequent mass mobilizations were spontaneous and leaderless in character. But because of a lack of a democratic structure through which the masses might organize themselves, the initiators became an unelected, unaccountable leadership that restricts the movement with their own narrow horizons.
These leaders didn’t have a working class perspective, but liberal, petty-bourgeois views. This was the primary reason why that movement ended in a whimper, despite the colossal energy it unleashed.
