How useful is an #election in a democratic #system where many only vote for the candidate so that #Trump does not come to #power again?

Progressive politics, which is committed to social #justice and the preservation of our livelihood, must necessarily redistribute #wealth and restructure our #economy, which should actually be possible for the majority because it serves the majority, but the concrete actions always get in the way of the #profit interests of some very powerful actors, who have therefore been involved since the beginning of #humanity itself and with the help of their lobbyists: Liberal or right-wing parties, media corporations, social #media platforms, think tanks, #lobby associations and #astroturf movements - front against these policies and in this fight do not shy away from stirring up racist, sexist and social-darvinist resentment in order to lead voters down wrong paths that harm the general public but protect the profit interests of the few.

How brainwashed do you have to be to spread something like that?

Let's swap the flag for the Israeli flag and the #meme still works. Can snyone really be so stupid as not to notice this? Unfortunately, this meme is being spread here on #Diaspora and my criticism of it was immediately deleted and subsequently I was blocked. So you remain in your filter bubble where no #criticism is allowed to enter and the #conflict continues endlessly.

Unfortunately, we can't ask the biggest supporter of Israel on Diaspora about the topic because I had to block him. But #Anonymiss, you're doing the same thing you just criticized and you're blocking your critics? I put up with his insults for a very long time and his criticism would be much more meaningful without insults.

So the hardliners on both sides are shifting their efforts to propaganda in order to justify their own actions. They denounce the war crimes of the other side and are blind to their own war crimes.

In such a divided world, we should not be surprised if we are ruled by creeps and conflicts are never resolved.

#Bottoms: One of the best #teen movies of recent years.

The idiot crowd on the internet would call this #movie #woke. The movie is about strong women who don't start out as high-flyers but go through a character development from the very bottom. The two friends in the movie are lesbians and think that if they start a self-defense club at their school they can finally have body contact with potential partners. As crazy as the idea is, it will still be realized. Ultimately, you can create something good even with the wrong intentions. The right mix of #humor and #action with still unknown actors is impressive.

The only #criticism I would like to make is that in the end the impression is created that problems can be solved with #violence and that everyone at the school thinks this is okay.
